The Spirited Music of Daniel Joseph Chiasson

A new single release from Daniel Joseph Chiasson delivers some outstanding guitar work and an aesthetic that makes you think of classic rock balance in a sense. You do get a little bit of blues and contemporary in there, but this track is focused all around that amazing guitar work, and it really sets a certain mood.

"Day 1335" is a track that features acoustic guitar as its rhythm with a beautifully addictive progression that again blends folk and classic rock, but more of that classic rock approach comes in with the lead, electric guitars as well.

You have some drumming that sets the pace and also gives the whole thing an almost live performance feel.

As the song unfolds, you get taken on this small musical journey. You almost feel pulled into the track, and part of the beauty of it is that it sets a mood for you, but lets your mind go the rest of the way.

That tone, set of textures, and moods are set, and as you listen through, your mind will just go wherever it wants to. I absolutely love that, and this is part of the reason why it feels cinematic to me.

There is some emotional backbone to this track, and you can hear that in the guitar playing, progression, and performance.

One of the other things that I adore about this track is that it does feel like a live performance. You get this aesthetic and vibe like you're sitting and watching this live show.

I'm not sure if that was purposely done, but I love the way it feels when you listen to the track because it adds some depth to the song.

There is a vast undertone to it, and I think that's because there's some reverb effects on some of the guitars and even drums, so it kind of pulls you into this atmosphere it delivers, which is something you don't always get so when you come across it, it's pretty refreshing.

All in all, this was a beautiful track, and it was performed with some heart.

Among some of his other recent releases are tracks like "No More Worries", which is a powerful one and comes through with more of a heavy-handed rock approach.

This one has all electric guitars and again, that live performance feel, but it has the soundscape of a full band live performance rocking out.

Once again, you can hear some of the emotion in the guitar performance, and these guitars really wail, and then when they want to.

This is part of why it's impactful. You can hear the emotion in the actual performances, and the guitar playing is something that sort of cries out, especially on this track.

Upon listening to this, I took more of a deep dive into his back catalog and found some outstanding singles that each showcase a bit of a different side to how he performs and how he writes.

There's a lot to go through with over two dozen original tracks on his Spotify, and I can tell you that if you like a few of them, you're going to like a lot more.

You could spend some great time going through these songs and really feeling the flow.

I would most certainly start with his newest release, "Let Thy Kingdom Come" which is one of the most beautiful pieces to date.

There are some eclectic songs in there that range from that cleaner, more acoustic guitar work to a heavier, rocked-out version, different kinds of beats and drums, and there's even pop-oriented songs that feel extremely cinematic and serve more as ballads.

Like I said before, there's a lot of great work to go through, and I would definitely dive right in and let this music swim around in the air that surrounds you because it does lift your spirits in a particular way.

A lot of this music is spirited and makes you feel good when you listen to it.

Some songs blend elements of color and edginess, while others have more of a smoother appeal, but either way, you're getting something that has depth, meaning, and most importantly, heart.

These songs showcase heart and personality through and through.

Check this out right now and see what it does for you.
