A New Single From Re Mattei, Just In Time for Valentine's Day

A new release from Re Mattei drops just in time for Valentine's Day, and with such a great, warm sentiment, it brings. This single showcases such brilliance in southern tonality, with a thick country approach that comes with all that swagger you would expect and more.

The single comes across lush with all kinds of full-bodied soundscapes coming from organs, guitars, all this great Twang and tone ringing out from the instruments, live percussion, and so much more, along with sort of big, boisterous, and welcoming vocals.

"It's A Love Thing" comes at you with so much heart and honesty as well. The track really gets into how much love is really worth. It's more than a million dollars in your hand. But she also goes into how it's not just about the good times, but the bad times as well. Love and relationships are two-sided.

You have to take the bad with the good, and that's an important aspect to understand.

Re delivers this with such crisp, clean lyrics so that you really get a great grasp on where she's coming from and how she got there.

Her descriptions during these lines are amazing, and they're very relatable because anyone who's been in a long relationship or in love really understands a lot of where she's coming from with them.

All in all, good or bad, having love is worth more than most things in life, and if you're able to capture that, then you're a lucky person.

This track has such a unique energy across it. It puts you right there in the moment with the song and really sort of thrives with an excitable and electric aesthetic.

It's love that makes you feel alive. We all know it, and I think that the artist expresses it amazingly.

Bursting into memorable courses and some great lead guitar work as well, the song rolls forward and really gives you everything you can want from a colorful country single.

There's not much about this song that isn't incredibly radio-friendly. It really feels like something you would hear on any country radio station anywhere.

The production is really well done, the arrangement is very well thought out, and the whole thing has a beautiful crispness to it that is super inviting.

I feel like the organs really add a lot to the song. I think that's what gives it a little bit of a live performance feel as well. Those organs thicken the song right up, and so there's not really any kind of space to fill.

There's always flavor and color going around in the form of beautiful tones and textures that come together and create something that feels great to listen to.

This is a memorable song about love and a true country form, and again, it comes right in time for Valentine's Day, which I'm sure was no fluke.

Re Mattei is definitely pretty well known for her music, and if you dig this track, you're going to really like a lot of her previous releases, including 2024's "What's Wrong With This Picture", along with the full album Believin' Is Seen'.

All of these releases really do an amazing job of showcasing an artist who puts a lot into her music, is unafraid to really put herself out there, sing about things that are real from life experience, and deliver hooks that are memorable and will certainly stick with you.

She's got a natural knack for robust choruses, and she does such a great job of layering her own personality into each track.

A lot of her catalog is well worth listening to, and she's got a pretty large catalog at that. She's got singles on Spotify starting from 2017, leading all the way up to this brand new single dropped today.

This is something for anyone who loves real country music that has a little bit of a rock element, a current twist, but also beckons classic and vintage country tonalities as well.

It always has that little hint of grittiness in there, which is true Southern Country tone, but also has a refreshing polish to it.

Again, it's the personality that really speaks volumes here, and this single is one of the loudest in terms of that.

So, check this out right now, and you will see exactly where I'm coming from with all of it.
