Silver Dollar Room Just gave Us a Huge Rock Album

The brand spanking new album release from Silver Dollar Room comes with righteous energy and is packed with addictive guitar riffs and tones that feel like an ode to late 90s and early 2000s underground alternative rock bands.

The Gilded Echoes album is absolutely brimming with a sort of fierce but colorful rock approach that does indeed hit that edgy and heavy alternative rock soundscape, but it also delivers a bit of pop rock along with it.

Listening to this record gives me bouts of nostalgia here and there because some of the tracks made me think of bands I grew up listening to and I love that they nailed that aesthetic so well.

Aside from all the outstanding guitar work, the vocal approach is one of my favorite things about the record.

The vocals have such an impactful sense to the performance, and they come through with a robust energy and so much soul that it really helps drive the songs.

You have songs that serve more as power ballads of sorts and those feel a bit cinematic to me which I like and have more of a vaster undertone to them, while other ones are focused more on heavy-hitting riffs and belting vocals but either way you're getting something that has impact and showcases the band's presence.

We're no strangers to Silver Dollar Room as a band, and I could certainly say right now that this is a huge level up for them because this is not only a full-fledged album, but it hits just right.

This is an album that needs to be listened to as a whole from beginning to end because only then can you get the full feel for everything it actually has to offer.

The sonic drive alone is enough to grab your attention and the way that they bring in that heavy rock feel with a certain kind of brightness at times is incredible.

Some songs are darker than others, and I feel like listening to the album as a whole is also something that lets you understand how certain songs connect almost like a concept album would.

These tracks can come across anthemic and certainly pack a massive punch a lot of the time but there are layers to this record, some surprises, and an excellent production that helps the record shine the way it was meant to.

This was a powerful rock release that is packed with memorable bangers and songs with depth.

The guitar work across the board is outstanding with some great lead work and memorable rest as I mentioned earlier.

The whole thing comes together seamlessly and that speaks volumes for Silver Dollar Room as a band and how they were able to put a full album together that feels like an experience if you listen to the whole thing through.

This is another thing that I loved about it. I grew up in a time. When you would hear a song on the radio or read about it in a magazine and you would go to the store and buy the album and, even though you wanted to hear that one song again and again, you ended up listening to the full record and that opened up a lot more.

Listening to an album like this is something that makes me feel like those days are coming back.

Sure, I don't have a CD or cassette tape in my hand to listen to it but listening to the digital version of it is just as good for the time being.

It still serves up a ton for you to soak in and when it's over you have to react to meet yourself back to whatever you were doing because the album is taking you away.

This is the kind of thing I look for from a heavy Rock record like this one.

After waiting for this album to drop for quite a while, I have to say I'm certainly not disappointed.
