Greeness return for the refreshing new single that comes across as bright and breezy but also has a little bit of personal attribute and perspective that seems pretty relatable and is expressed with emotional influence so that you can understand where it's all coming from.
The new song is called "Meltdown", and it comes right in with a warm set of tones that are guitar-based, along with live percussion and this colorful little set of keys. Now, this could actually be guitars with effects on them, but it sounds like a keyboard to me, which I really enjoyed because it adds a different sort of texture to the song and comes in right at the start with everything else, so you're getting a great understanding of the pop sensibility of the track right from the get-go.
There is this element of a sort of jazz underbelly to this track as well. The vocalist does an amazing job of helping display that with a vibrant singing approach, but also the notes that she hits are beautiful. She comes up with these great melodies even during the verses that are so inviting.
To me, it feels almost like her voice is an instrument itself.
As the song unfolds, you get a sense of where it's coming from, as I mentioned earlier. It's got an element of struggle, a little bit of mystery, and just relationship-based questioning and turmoil to an extent.
Being with someone who's not the greatest person to be with, but still wanting their approval, looking for them everywhere, waiting for them to come back, it's all very relatable stuff for any of us who have been in those kinds of relationships, and I feel like she words it so well throughout the song.
Then it's all about how she's in this beautiful little town by the sea, and it's such a great place to have a meltdown.
It comes together like puzzle pieces, and I absolutely adore the way that they approach this thing lyrically.
The track has some amazing changes in it and even rhythmic and time signature changes that add extra flavor to the song and give it this sort of elegant and cultural undertone at times.
I definitely love the guitar work, but I think I like the tone of the guitar the most. The tone of the guitars has this particular sort of twang to them, and it makes the song even more colorful and addictive.
The guitar tone helps shape the actual song into the aesthetic that it envelops, and I love that.
Something about this song comes across with such brightness, and it's sort of addicting in a sense.
This song comes along with a great music video that helps sort of showcase their presence on film, and it looks like they're having a blast.
It's cool because the actual video works very well with the song and premise as well. They are in a bit of beautiful town, their ocean is there, it's colorful, beautiful, vibrant, and they're having a great time.
One of the things I really liked about watching the video the first time was that you get a sense of personality from it. They both give off a little bit of personality in the video itself and it was shot really well. Everything is again super colorful, but so is the song. That breezy overtone is there, matching the music.
This was certainly a fun single, and it had some great honesty and heart to it.
This is the track that sort of sticks with you, brings in loads of elements of clean pop tones, and comes across with perfect energy.
Check this track out as soon as you can.
