A new single from Gomey brings out a deep Groove and soulful R&B style vocals that are brought together by a reggae rhythm and backbone, but it all comes through with this beautiful color and tonality and delivered with enough character for you to latch onto.
"Just Once" the vocal performance across this track is outstanding including the chorus harmonies that are really lush and beautifully performed but this track just has this cinematic feel and a particular energy that makes you want to see this performed live right in your face.
One of my favorite aspects about this track is the sheer fact that it has a wonderful way of blending genres and bending them at free will and incorporates all kinds of great production that thinks a little bit outside the box just enough to push the envelope but still keeping the song familiar and welcoming at the same time.
You have these guitars that are plucking and this drum beat that drives the song but also gives it the feeling of being alive and breathing at the same time and it's such a great combination because you get this sort of chill undertone with a song that does indeed boast a certain vibrancy as well so the combination of those two things as well as the dynamic balance of the song as a whole all really wrap you up.
There are tons of hooks throughout this track both musically and vocally which is something I've missed in all kinds of genres of music for a long time and so much of this sticks with you for hours or even days after you've listened to the song and the only way to satiate that is to listen to it again which is smart songwriting.
Most of all, this track has an emotional drive behind it that shows face throughout the entire thing, and this makes everything feel authentic and like it all came from a real-life experience, so it's got this wonderful pop overtone to it, a reggae backbone, and a genuine approach which all have a way of complementing each other throughout the track.
You can easily hear the song on the radio, and it feels like it's something that you would hear on a multitude of different stations because of that genre-crossing aspect.
This song was gracefully and tastefully performed and certainly boasts a persona that lets it all feel good to listen to.
It's relatable, certainly danceable, colorful, and gives off incredible vibes right from the get-go.
This is one of those tracks that you listen to again as soon as it ends and it's a quick 2 minutes and 12 seconds long, but it feels bigger for sure.
Upon listening to this track, I took it upon myself to take a little bit of a deep dive into Gomey's back catalog and when I did, I found so much music it was incredible.
From remixes to originals, collaborations, and more, Gomey has been Paving his way in the world of music for years and has certainly left a mark in the pop community.
