Francesca Tarantino Releases A Soulful Rock single

ree

Francesca Tarantino returns with a brand new single that showcases the Soulful side of her songwriting but also brings out a lot of that pure honesty which gives the song a certain kind of emotion that feels almost uneasy, and that vulnerability comes through pretty powerfully as she puts together something that has a southern rock backbone, lacing in elements of contemporary undertone throughout the entire thing.

The track is called 'Spider On The Wall", and it is from the perspective of someone looking at this spider on the wall and being afraid to touch it, not knowing what it'll do, or how it'll react, but it's there watching and waiting.

This most certainly is a metaphor, and it's something that feels very personal and brilliantly put together simply because she's able to use this spider on the wall as a metaphor so well that it's easily understandable.

It's about a sort of infatuation, in a sense. Seeing someone from across the crowded room and locking eyes. Or just feeling like it's only the two of you there.

As this happens more than once,  that feeling of it gets a little bit stronger.

The way she articulates it all lyrically is amazing, and I don't think I've heard it exactly like this before.

The track does have a rock backbone, but it also has these organs that give it a little extra thickness, and it's almost slightly eerie in a sense. This also goes along with that sentiment. Just the sentiment of the spider on the wall. There's a little creepiness to it, and the organs play into that a little bit in my opinion.

This is a song that basically talks about being around or with someone that you know you can't really trust. But the infatuation is kind of still there, and you know you should keep away, but it's not that easy.

Again, I sent him into that a lot of people can relate to, and spun it into a lyrical metaphor that was borderline brilliant.

During those choruses, she has such beautiful vocal approaches, and you also have the organs and the rock guitars at the same time, along with the live percussion and everything else, so in the chorus sections, everything is really full swing.

There's also a great little guitar solo that happens before the last chorus and I absolutely love that because it's not over the top, but it has a bit of that raw emotion that the song portrays as well, which is really important.

Francesca always performs with passion in her vocals. Her songs always come from some real place, and you're almost always getting a little piece of her with the music that she releases, and this track is absolutely no exception.

She's always showcasing different sides of a personality, and as she grows as a person, she uses her music to get things off her chest, and that's why a lot of her songs are emotionally lush.

I think it's important for artists like this, especially younger ones like Francesca, to really put themselves out there, and she does it perfectly. She's not releasing music with a bunch of walls built around her.

She's being free with it. She is open and lets a lot of that emotion and feeling come through in the music, both lyrically and performance-wise wise so you connect with it.

This is one of my favorite tracks from Francesca yet. It definitely shows such a robust part of who she is as a person, but also how unafraid she is when she's writing her music.

It is great to hear a new song that takes a little bit of a different direction, showcases how she's evolving not just as a person but as an artist as well, and comes through with an impact.

If you like this track, then I would highly suggest digging in a little deeper because this is an artist with a handful of singles that are all outstanding but all a little different.

As I said before, she's not afraid to showcase different sides of yourself in a songwriting and there's always that raw emotion involved. So, if you like music that makes you feel or makes you think, this is for you. It is very easy to connect with the lyrics that she writes, and part of that is because she performs them with heart, and this one covers all of that, but she definitely brings in a little hint of that southern soul, which really gives it a different flavor, to me.

I love the direction that she's going with this track, and you should definitely listen to it now.

You certainly won't be disappointed.
