Sander Sanchez Returns With A Thriving and Warm New Dance-Pop Single

Sander Sanchez returns with a new single that showcases a lot of personality, character, and the ability to write a song with fewer walls built around it than whatever you may be used to.
When I say something like that, I mean that he's really open about his life experiences and is able to portray them through his music almost seamlessly.
Sander is outstanding at painting such pictures in your head as songs unfold, and this new track is absolutely no exception.
"U&I" is a bit of a love song. This track is Sander expressing a certain moment in time when he felt everything all at once. This was a beautiful portrayal of his inner emotion and how it got him excited and scared all at once.
Love can be a bit of a scary thing, of course. Any of us who find ourselves in love with another will almost automatically be afraid of the heartbreak aspect of it.
Sometimes those things are inevitable, but even if that happens, looking back at the moment that you found that love or passion is quite an amazing thing, and Sander is someone who really displays that powerfully and colorfully.
The music of this track is really what brings a lot of that color, while Sander brings the character, of course.
The production on this single is borderline pristine. It's got a lot of sort of carefree undertone to it. It feels good because that's what it's meant to feel like. It is high-spirited, it elevates you just a little bit, and it's something that becomes infectious.
The feeling you get when you listen to the song is bright, and that is the infectious part. That's why you become addicted to the sound that you're hearing.
This is like an electronic dance single that brings elements of old-school and new-school electronic together to create something almost nostalgic at certain points, but also refreshing.
He's using a lot of spacious synth pads in the song's backbone so that you have a lot of depth and an almost dream-like element to float along with.
This is something I consider to be really smart, mainly because look at what he's singing about. He's singing about falling in love, for the most part. So those synthesizers are giving the song the kind of mood that is needed for the lyrics.
When you're in love, you feel like you're floating on air, in a way. Those synthesizers deliver that in an audible sense.
He's got elements of house, EDM, dance, and more all rolled up into one track, and the vocals have plenty of Soul attached to them.
There are hints of experimental approaches throughout this song as well. Vocal effects and synthesizer effects that really branch out a little bit so that you have something spacious and a little bit atmospheric, while still holding tightly onto that pop approach.
This is something that the artist is really good at, in general.
The song captures the essence of when you first meet someone, and you feel like you've been hit by a ton of bricks.
That burst of infatuation, the way your blood gets pumping, the way you sort of know what you're in for even though it hasn't happened yet. All of that is wrapped up so nicely in this single.
I feel like Sander gives a lot when he writes his music, and because he's unafraid to give you that much, the songs end up being something you can connect with almost right away.
I found myself connecting with this track immediately. Because I've been there before, I understood and related to exactly where he was coming from.
He's got such a great way of articulating his lyrics and, again, building the right kind of mood for what he's singing about.
I think that's part of why the song hits the way it does. It's got a little bit of a cinematic feel, it's driving but not over the top, and it has that vast underbelly that gives it the depth that it needs to have.
This is someone who puts a lot of attention and detail into the production as well as the lyrics, so you have something with layers that's fun, danceable, flavorful, packed with great tones and textures, and honestly, lyrics that give the song all the character you could want.
This is one of my favorites from the artist, whom we are already quite familiar with.
I love the direction that he's going, but this is someone who can go almost any direction and make it work, because he's got pieces of himself he puts into the music.
That's why it all works so well. There's got to be authenticity, and Sander Sanchez delivers that pretty much every time.

Where did this track come from and what is it about?
"It was actually a school assignment on my school “Danish Songwriting Academy” – where we had to choose a moment in our lives we would never forget. So I chose the first meeting with my partner! But I also chose that moment because I was thinking about how difficult it can feel to find genuine connection today. We're more connected than ever, but at the same time, it can feel harder to really meet someone. I wanted to capture that magical feeling of unexpectedly finding 'the one'—when two people's worlds collide, and for a moment it feels like nothing else exists. That's what the song is about for me: hope, vulnerability, and believing that those moments are still possible."
I am hearing several approaches here! Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
Some of my biggest musical inspirations especially for this track – is a band called RKCB and an Artist called CRi. Lyrically I'm also in love with Oh Wonder and Kevin Garrett!
How did this all start for you as an artist?
I’ve been singing and dancing ever since I remember. Growing up in a more spiritual environment, and as a Native American powwow dancer, my approach to music and performance comes from a spiritual perspective, where emotion, energy and presence are essential elements. And I guess dancing to the beat and singing to the pulse of the drum – in my regalia, just converted itself into my artistry as you see it today.
Did you work with an outside producer on this one, or was it all you?
It was created in collaboration with my school mates and friends (from Danish Songwriting Academy) Bjarke Gomez and Noah Tornbak. It was then mastered by my other friend Oliver Tue. And Bjarke is a producer on my school – and he was the producer on this track!
Did you record at a bigger studio, or a home DAW setup?
It was written and produced in a big studio! Out on Danish Songwriting Academy ~ where we were also living at the time, with each our own studio! Also Bjarke was the lucky one who got the biggest studio on the school – so we ofc had to take advantage of that <3!
Are you performing live right now?
Yes I am. I’m doing a show on the day of the release of “U&I”. And then I’m playing a thing called Banana party ~ and Bornholm Pride here in August as well with my full band :D! Which usually is with guitar, bass, choir and DJ :*
Now that this is out, what's next for you?
I’m aiming to release more of the music I’ve done on my school. And the next one is going to be a song called “the VOID” which is a sad electronic song about being in despair and in the end letting go of everything because hurt is now everything there is. And I guess I wanted it to come out when fall hits – to kind of insinuate the darker time we are heading into.
What would you say people can expect from this release?
They can expect to hear heartfelt loving toplines, and blossoming light-bending lyrics from a strong heart. They can also expect ethereal and emotional ad libs and choir! Then you can expect a beat that makes you wanna move and groove!
