An Addictive and Lush Southern Rock Record from Atomic Junkshot

A fresh new album release from Atomic Junkshot delivers a unique brand of honesty in the form of southern toned rock and country singles that all have a little bit of a story to tell from a personal perspective and some of these songs can be incredibly descriptive to the point where you can actually paint vivid pictures in your head as the song that becomes very connected throughout the record.

The Peacedale album has a particular kind of warmth to it that makes it feel sort of welcoming and it's one of those records that incorporate loads of classic rock influence, plenty of country and Americana, and this vast guitar tone that gives the songs in almost expansive and somewhat cinematic undertone a lot of the time.

Some of the songs are more fun, and some of them are a little bit more serious but either way, you're getting a lot of that honesty, and because of that there is a certain kind of character that the whole album comes along with and that is a huge part of what you end up getting attached to.

I love the way the lyrics are spread out and how depictive they can be so you're getting these very lush stories along with the full-bodied soundscape of the music.

This makes the record a lot of fun because you have this sort of southern rock soundscape with lyrics that you end up paying attention to as well.

This is one of those albums that you should be listening to from beginning to end in full because if you only listen to one or two tracks then you're not really getting everything that the album has to give.

On top of that, these are stories that you can tell came from someplace real even if there's a little bit of imagination intertwined lyrically, you can tell they are authentic and so you know that the songs serve almost like chapters in someone's life and that makes it almost like a concept record.

Listening to the album as a whole gives you a much bigger experience and it does serve as a bit of an escape because it pulls you away from your surroundings for a little chunk of time and puts you in someone else's life.

I definitely adore this aspect of the record.

You have a lot of amazing guitar tones that have that touch of twang when it's needed, and that edgy rock feel when they want along with thick-laid organs that beef up the song and add that bit of classic rock taste to everything.

The vocals have a unique approach and the deep tone and almost animated style help you dig into those stories even more.

All of this adds drive and keeps to that persona and character that the album delivers.

You can hear a slew of different influences in this music and perhaps it's the different band members that bring in those influences to the table.

And one of the things that hit me the hardest is this sort of electric energy that feels like the songs were recorded live on the floor to an extent and the players that are involved were just feeding off of each other the entire time.

Of course, I may be completely wrong about the whole live on the floor thing but listening to this record makes you want to see them perform it live in your face either way.

This record gave off a wonderfully warm, slightly gritty, fun, charismatic, and addictively detailed sound and I can't express how much listening to this full album is an absolute must.

It's like reading a book or watching a film. When you're done with the record you have to reacclimate yourself back to wherever you are and your surroundings again.

This to me, is like a gift in music because it doesn't happen that often so when it does, it's almost rejuvenating.

Jump right into this record as soon as you can, and you'll see exactly what I mean.
