A single release from Brandon Bing delivers a very raw breed of honesty in the form of an anthemic country single that comes through with a massive presence and impactful soundscape built from emotional backbone and displayed for all to soak in.

"Set Me Free" is quite a powerful song to me simply because he's able to articulate the entire situation and emotion into not just words, but words and music together.

The level of connectivity and relatability this track boasts is crazy, and how he's able to lyrically phrase everything so well lets you understand what's going on and also picture things in your head as the song unfolds.

Songs like this hit me a certain way because of that honesty. Songs like this one have a unique effect on me because I can totally understand where he's coming from with it, and for any of us that have been in a situation where a certain emotion is taken over, and we just want to let go, this one will hit you hard.

This was very cinematic to me. It had that impact and vast undertone with a gorgeous country overcoat. It portrayed a certain kind of character with vulnerability, and it makes you realize that Brandon is quite the powerhouse of a songwriter.

I say this because this track has depth to it, but it also has a certain kind of catchiness and stays true to this almost rustic country approach while blending in other elements as well.

Not only does this track give some amazing guitar work through and through, but it also has violin and live drums, along with this lush set of layers that come at you, but through it all, it's the vocals that reel you in.

He's got that soulful kind of vocal approach that works perfectly for him because he's a hell of a storyteller.

If you're going to be a storyteller on this level, then your vocal approach has to have this authenticity behind it.

Brandon boasts plenty of that, along with the soul and the Heart to give it this genuine feel, and the entire song musically fits the mood perfectly.

During the course of this track, there's a lot of guitars going on, so it really actually rocks out pretty hard, and that's because the chorus is the climactic and most vulnerable point.

The verses explain the story with some great detail and description, but again, with that heart and soul so that you know it came from someplace real.

One of my favorite aspects about this track is that by the time you get to the end of the song, it goes from this halftime style beat to a full swing, and this adds a whole different kind of drive.

I found this to be quite brilliant as it had a unique way of pulling me into the song even further.

The energy is through the roof and balances perfectly between all the elements, instruments, and tones.

I love listening to a track on record and immediately knowing that that artist is going to be outstanding to see in a live performance setting.

It doesn't always happen, but when it comes along, you know it, and Brandon Bing is one of those artists.

Brandon is known for bringing together elements of a heavier rock tonality with classic country approaches, and giving country music that extra edge fits very well the way he does it. The artist has a slew of releases under his belt, from singles to full-length albums, and "Set Me Free" is the newest addition to the bunch.

Listening to other songs from the artist, you can tell that he almost always puts pieces of himself into the music, so that you always feel that authenticity and again, the way he tells his stories is unique lyrically.

This track is one of the best songs to introduce yourself to the artist with, and as far as we can tell, there's a new song on the way, planned to drop at the end of this month.

We certainly can't wait to hear this one and do indeed hope that it's got the same level of raw emotion and blend of rock and Country that "Set Me Free" delivers.

For now, this song will most certainly keep me at bay.
