A Vivacious Rock Release from John Galbraith

An album release from John Galbraith delivers a vivacious blend of pop and classic rock all done with a lush and colorful character that comes through with elements of humor but with a great combination of edginess and honesty that all feel authentic and so you end up getting quite attached to that character throughout the record which is one of my favorite aspects about the whole thing.

The J.G. Album both tons of classic guitar sections along with vocals that give off such lovable melodies and throughout it all you get these sorts of chapters in the artist's life because you have those elements of honesty that peek through.

One of my favorite aspects about this whole album is that authentic classic rock tonality that it boasts because this is something that really takes a lot of attention to detail to gain the right aesthetic but John seems to be able to pull this off without a hitch and some of these songs even feel like they were released in the late 70s or early 80s while others just give off such a lively vibrancy that it feels like they were recorded live on the floor and the players are feeding off of each other the entire time.

The thing about that is John Galbraith himself is the one that as far as we know, performs all the vocals and instruments on the record which is even more impressive because the thing just feels like an album released by a full band.

This is a little bit mind-blowing to me because I can't imagine how you're able to pull off such a lush and full-bodied set of songs that even feel like you're watching them being performed live on stage at times, as one person.

It must be something being able to take an idea or a vision and bring it to fruition the way that John does it.

I only say this because every aspect of these songs between the guitars, the baselines, the way the drums were even recorded to sound old school like that, they all have a way of complimenting each other and bringing in this sort of atmosphere that you fall right into.

This album is sort of like an escape and when you listen to it you are pulled away from your surroundings for a good chunk of time which in my opinion is just a gift.

Enough, I also must touch on some of the Americana tones that he brings in especially guitar-wise and even songwriting-wise, and the pop overtones that a lot of these songs boast as well because they have such memorable choruses a lot of the time that they stick in your brain for hours or even days after the songs have ended and the only way to see she ate that is to listen to them again.

You can tell that John is the type of artist that is in his zone or his happy place if you will, recording in his studio at home or whatever studio he actually records in.

He puts his heart into this record, and you can hear that in the music quite clearly, but you also know that he's just having a blast and he's letting all these things out as he's doing it and the only way he knows how which is through his music.

This is a completely genuine rock record that gives off such great elements of not only songwriting, composition, and arrangement, but that character that I mentioned earlier.

Sounds like these have to have some truth behind them so that they come from someplace real and with this record you can tell that they do.

An endlessly fun rock record coated in pop and riddled with hints of country and Americana, this is an album you want to listen to from beginning to end all the way through just so you can get the full spectrum of what this release has to offer.

It's a damn good time so don't be afraid to turn it up and you'll end up singing along in no time.
