A Robust and Relatable Single from Tim Britt Band

A new single from Tim Britt Band gives off a character-riddled and very honest approach in the form of a folk-rock single that borders on classic rock tonalities and both an addictive almost live performance type of energy and everything about it just comes through with a bright vibrancy.

"25 Going On Alive" is it very well-woven song and also has some really cool surprises around its corners including a sort of heavy-handed jam section used as a bridge, and there's something about it that boasts this kind of nostalgic undertone but it doesn't have to do with the music itself it has more to do with the lyrics because the song is about the different thoughts you have getting older and reaching a certain age wondering about what you might have done differently.

This track did an amazing job of blending color with a little edginess and this kind of raw drive that has to do with both music and lyrics so it all actually comes together with a very well-balanced dynamic all around and it's that character and personality that you end up latching on to because the song is so insanely relatable especially if you're actually of a certain age, that you connect with it automatically.

I think this track certainly comes from a real inner thought process that isn't exactly a struggle per se, but it's just genuine so that authenticity and everything that he's singing about is something all of us can understand and at times can even cause memories to pop into our heads.

The guitar tone across the board is well done and when it gets a little bit harder hitting the tone changes to a heavier one and adds some extra effects to make things a little bit more robust and edgy and that works perfectly but you have these organs that fill the ether of the song giving it a much more classic rock feel at times and again this energy that's like everyone's feeding off of each other the whole time during the performance so it makes you want to see this live in your face.

There's also some great jamming which adds to that whole live performance aspect but it's the way the song builds into that so that by the time you get to that last course it's just full body and flush with instrumentation rocking out as hard as it can.

There's definitely a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this track but it never loses the persona, the charisma, or the character it was built from in the first place which may be the most important part of it all.

I love songs like this because you do have that sort of instant connection simply because of how honest it is but it's put into words in a very particular way so that it makes sense from a lot of different angles, or should I say a lot of different ages.

This is a song about life and being a person. It hints at some regret, it hints at moving forward, it hits on where he wants to be which is 25 going on alive,

I think we can all get that.

Definitely check the song out when you get a chance especially if you did classic or folk rock because this has a lively feel to it that you can't let go of.
