A new single release from a State Of Error delivers an atomic and powerful alternative rock soundscape that feels like a youthful cry out for a generation and the message behind it is important because it's so incredibly relatable for someone of a certain age especially.
"Moments" is a song that talks about how there are certain moments that define or at least help to find the kind of people that we turn out to be in the end. Defining moments in our lives are few and far between and you sort of know when they happen but sometimes you don't realize it until later.
There are times where you look back and you realize that a certain moment was an actual defining moment in your life much later on.
The message behind this song is really impactful because I think we need a reminder that there are those kinds of moments in our lives so that we don't miss them.
The track to me is about fighting through struggle and coming out on top simply because you were able to fight and that to me is a defining moment.
This track was robust and riddled with character and it all displayed such a massive sonic drive and it almost cinematic backbone at times.
This is a fist in the air sing along type of song especially when it comes to that chorus and again, I love that youthful anthemic approach because it works so well with this track.
It is alternative rock, but it borders on pop rock and a few other elements there too that let this song step outside the cookie cutter area and be a little bit different.
There's actually a lot about the song that lets it stand out and I think that when you have a track that gives you this kind of combination of color and edginess, truth and character, that it leaves a mark.
It's the kind of song you end up thinking about later on.
I also adore the energy level on this track because it's completely electric to the point where it feels like it's possible the track was recorded live on the floor to an extent and the players involved were all just feeding off of each other's energies the entire time giving the song this alive and breathing sort of feeling.
And again, that's what this track is about. It's simply about being alive and knowing that you are.
This track can be taken differently from different points of view and by different people of course. But I think for some it'll be incredibly relatable and for others it'll give them a little extra energy or power to be able to fight through whatever they're fighting through so they can make their strength that defining moment.
This is exactly why we need more music like this in the world right now.
This is a banger of a track, but it speaks truths and is honest. It gives a message, and that message is a positive one so music like this has an impact on people that want to pay attention to it.
I also love how you have little elements of pop punk and vocals, a vastness in the undertone of the song that makes it feel sort of spacious and expansive as well, and just a production that leaves the song feeling polished and very robust.
Great vocal harmonies and performances from the guitars and the singer especially and the whole thing really came together to the point where each element of the song compliments the other.
The track comes with an accompanying music video that was just released and it showcases the band's character and personality even more by showing clips of them at actual live shows in between shots of them performing for this video, and I love that combination because it shows some history, and it shows some heart.
This was a killer track that indeed boasts plenty of love for the craft, and being alive, and showcases that heart perfectly.
