There is a beautiful new release that comes from Sar Kamler, and it is a warm and welcoming piece of music that brings with it an expansive soundscape that touches on ethereal textures and rustic undertones, but it all comes with such a forward-moving flow and lushness that you're able to drift along with it.
"Little Paradise (Studio Live)" is absolutely gorgeous and the instrumentation throughout it gives off such a wonderous and almost fantastical balance of textures that you're able to fall into the atmosphere that the entire thing gives off.
Sar performs a lot with a woodwind instrument that is native to Armenia called the duduk. This instrument gives a very particular tonality, and it has a way of feeling warm and sort of thick.
The track focuses on the instrument and Sar's performance throughout it is alive and breathing giving the song swells and sways constantly.
The way that the song builds is orchestrated wonderfully, and a lot of other instruments come into play including string synth pads, percussion, acoustic guitar, and more.
The places that the song ends up taking you is really what ends up being unexpected because a track like this gives a very peaceful feeling in a lot of different ways and it doesn't incorporate elements of jazz-style undertones along with that ethereal and vast feel.
The whole arrangement of this is pretty much perfectly done and like I said earlier, it has these waves of sort of intensities that come and go and these changes that take you to different places in your head.
I think that's part of the beauty of a song like this.
You can listen to it and soak it in how you want. The song will be an escape for you. It will pull you away from your surroundings and most certainly put you in a completely different headspace which is a beautiful thing because sometimes we need that little break from reality.
The listener will take it how they want to. It'll be a little bit different for each person as they listen to it. For me, this caused memories of my own to pop into my head throughout the track and it was something that became slightly nostalgic but still very peaceful for me.
No matter what, it's almost like reading a chapter in a good book where you get the premise, the emotion, the feel, and the flow, but your imagination and your thoughts do the rest.
So, you can listen to the song and sort of let it take you where you wanted to go but make no mistake, you are in control over it actually takes you.
This is the kind of music that is just a vessel for you so that you can travel somewhere in your head.
I absolutely love this because, to me, this is a gift in music and doesn't come around as often as I'd like it to, so hearing it now was not only refreshing but pretty rejuvenating as well.
Sar Kamler considers himself somewhat of a musical healer and after hearing this track I can totally understand why.
This was beautifully done, well woven, and had a gracefulness to it that is rare. I would highly suggest listening to some of his previous releases on Spotify after you're done with the single because they're all really well performed.
Listen to this track with headphones on and let it just swim around in the air that surrounds you.
See how this song affects you.
