The Conall Band Drops A Full LP

If you are not familiar with The Conall Band, then let us be among the first to introduce you because they have recently released a full-length LP that spans a gorgeous variety of Storytelling and down-to-earth rock that gives little pieces of personality and is packed to the brim with all kinds of textured instrumentation that go beyond the classic guitars of the genre.

This band is helmed by Pat O'Connell who is a singer-songwriter and folk artist, and you can definitely hear that influence in this band, but it's morphed into something a bit bigger and with a touch more variety.

There is that folk and singer-songwriter elements delivered with the songs, but these are driving and danceable tunes that really give you a lot to soak in.

The first thing that you find on Spotify going backward is an album release from 2018 and its stellar.

As you go through that back catalog of releases you can see that there were a few singles released over the past couple of years that were part of their latest album Essai.

This release really has some solid hooks that are performed with quite a gusto and each one leaves its mark.

The guitar parts spanning throughout the course of the record is really where it's at for this LP.

The guitars are the driving force behind this release and there's a lot of soul in those deliveries especially.

Songs to start with from this record go as follows: Heartbreaker; an honest rocker that does its job with a wonderful and slightly loose energy.

Dangerous Conversation: a story told from a personal point of view but one very relatable to a lot of people in the position or situation. This one opens up with guitars that build up and eventually have an ambient feel as the song goes on. You can really drift through this one.

Shaky Ground: a track that you definitely pay attention to lyrically and feels like home in a weird way. Like you've been there before.

These are just some of our top choices however there are a lot of great songs on this record.

We would easily give this record an 8 out of 10, especially in terms of the songwriting.

Check this out when you get a chance and remember where you heard it first.
