A fresh release from Sherise comes through with an impactful and incredibly colorful disco-pop approach and this is the type of track that becomes so quickly infectious that if you're driving in your car, you're going to be shaking your butt in your seat, but if you're at home then you can just go ahead and move the couch back a few feet so you can dance around the living room.
"Take Me Away" is bright and neon lit with this classic disco vibe that really hits that aesthetic perfectly to the point where you can feel it in your bones.
Although it does really bring out that classic aesthetic so well, it also infuses and more updated platform too bringing in these bountiful vocals and a beautiful array of instrumentation that brings this whole thing to life.
One of my favorite aspects about this track is the vocal approach because there's always these lush harmonies going on and that adds more vibrancy and character to the song itself along with bringing these extra layers.
This is a very feel-good song and if you listen to it first thing in the morning it will definitely have a great effect on the rest of your day because it also energizes you.
The track itself has an amazing energy to it and when you listen to it, it makes you want to go see her perform it live just so you can soak that in even more.
The beat is that classic four on the floor disco style and it's got some great keys and organs that add thickness to it, and all of this seems to compliment the vocals incredibly well.
All the elements of this song sort of push the next so that the whole thing has an atmosphere that is all its own.
I also love some of the more current undertones that happen as well as there are parts of the song that sort of break down a little bit and give you this vast and spacious underbelly.
This is really cool because it blends in those sounds and kind of bends the genre a little bit and I think that it takes a smart song writing to be able to do that correctly which it's definitely done here.
The synths and keys are really important in this track because they bounce off of each other and the bass line bops so there's nothing about the track that you can't dance to.
It's all very fun and the whole vibe in color of the song is addictive so this is a track that you definitely want to turn nice and loud because it just feels the best that way.
Now, we're no strangers to Sherise and I can definitely say that this is an incredible release as she has such an expansive variety and songwriting approach that you never really know what the next song is going to bring out.
There's always a little bit of experimental undertone and some surprises around the corners which is something I adore about any artist that really is bringing their own thing to the table.
Sherise is most definitely one to watch and if you dig this track, I will definitely suggest checking out the last one called "Breathing" which gives off a little bit of a different vibe and a more ambient tonality but is still amazing and keeps to some of the stable feels that you would expect.
Dive into "Take Me Away" but also check out some of her previous releases and see how her music can really be engulfing the best ways.
