JOHN MODERN originates from the vacuous but vibrant urban sprawl of 21st century los angeles. A multi-platinum songwriter with chart topping hits in both the UK and the US, John Modern’s true identity is not widely known, but there is some speculation. Some say he used to play mellotron for LCD Soundsystem before they folded in the face of undue oligarchical pressure (doesn’t sound true). Some say he was a ghostwriter for Good Charlotte before they broke bad (sounds even more far fetched). Either way, John Modern’s current output is a cornucopia of hybrid-genres, difficult to pin down, but impossible ignore.
