The latest single from Its Irrelevant just dropped and this track has such a great crossover sound between alternative rock, emo, math guitar riffs, a little metal, some pop punk, and so much more, and it's all rolled into this one track so you get this flood of influences coming through while you listen to it and I love that feeling because it gives the song a lot of depth.
"Fever" there's a banger of a track and it's definitely super fun as it comes through something of a rock soiree.
I say this not only because the guitar parts are outstanding which they are, those are what bring out that mathy aspect because some of those riffs really come through is intricate but still smoothly played with heart as well but, the whole song actually has this alive and breathing sort of energy to it and an amazing progression and arrangement.
Some of the changes during this track hit so well and are so kind of, surprising that at first it blew me away because they come through so fast. This is kind of a fast song in a way.
I love the electric energy that these guys portray on the track itself because it feels like some aspect of this track was recorded live on the floor so that everyone could feed off of each other's energies the entire time.
This also gives it that alive and breathing sort of feeling and even if I'm wrong about that aspect, listening to it at least makes you want to go see them play this live because if that kind of energy is captured on record this well, then seeing them live must be awesome.
The bass and guitar throughout this track have such a synergism and they both show a lot of color and the performances and the actual riffs and melodies while the drummer is just ridiculous. This drummer adds so much drive to the track that I feel like that's where a lot of that edgy sort of pop punk element comes in as well.
There's a lot of power behind the single and it packs a massive punch but again it's got this sort of spirited performance to it that beckons classic sort of '90s emo rock at times but comes through a little differently also.
The vocalist does an amazing job of layering on these hooks both melodies that end up bouncing around in your head for hours after the song is ended and the only way to satiate that is to go and listen to the song again.
The cool thing about this is that every performer in this band including the vocalist of course, pulls off delivering this sort of emotion and heart behind what they're doing, and I think that that is an element that you get attached to while listening to the track.
You can tell these guys have a love for their craft. The craft of writing songs together and putting something unique into the world that you can feel something from or that makes you think.
This is a banger so you can jump around the room to it, head back to it, or sing along with your fists in the air. Either way you're going to have a damn good time listening to this track as long as you do it loud.
That's just a suggestion of course, I would assume you'd want to listen to a track like this good and loud so that you can soak it in the way it was meant to be.
I don't know too much about these guys so far but what I've learned is that this track speaks volumes for them, and I feel like it's sort of a trademark song for the band.
I've also learned that this track is part of an upcoming EP that they're going to release called Little Lives Part 2 and I certainly hope that we get more of this vibe from it.
There's definitely this youthful approach and brightness in the presence of this band and this track really lets that come out and hit hard.
I can't wait for this EP to come out and if you check this track out, you'll see exactly why.
Definitely dive into this track when you can and look out for the upcoming EP. Unfortunately, I'm not sure exactly when that's releasing but it shouldn't be too long, I think.
But for now, this song will certainly hold me over and it will probably hold you over as well.
Check this out as soon as you can.
