Gabriel Mumbray Drops a Fresh BLues Single

A fresh single release from Gabriel Mumbray gives off a sincere approach and it comes through with a lot of character, which is something you end up really loving about the song, and it all has a smooth blues tonality to it.

"Get on or Move Along" has a wonderful sort of warmth to it but it's the honesty that grabs at you, along with that outstanding guitar playing which feels completely natural for the artist.

You can tell that this was inspired by some classic blues guitar players and that influence shines through on this track.

The guitar tone comes through with that clean and slightly wet but twangy soundscape, and it's what helps give this track as much heart as it actually does.

The song has an engulfing warmth that you just end up getting attached to and the whole vibe of the track hits with this slight hint of edginess with those guitars.

As the song plays on you start to get the sense of lush and robust sound as pianos come in, progressions change, and the whole arrangement comes together so incredibly well.

The guitars get a little bit fuzzy and distorted giving a slightly heavier feel and it still keeps that colorful balance the entire time.

I love this combination of a sort of contemporary rock and clean blues approach because it really works wonders during this track and Gabriel seems to be a complete natural at it as the song has this forward-moving flow.

Not only was there a lot of attention to detail during the course of this track but it never loses that personality or heart that it begins with in the first place and that may be the most important part of the whole thing.

The vocals are excellent, and they do deliver a whole other overtone of texture and melody to the track, and he is able to utilize his vocals as an instrument as well using them to give the song a thicker backing at times.

One of my favorite aspects about this track is that it almost feels like it was recorded live-on-the-floor to an extent. I'm sure Gabriel is playing the guitars and singing but there's a full band here with keys, drums, bass, and more.

It feels to me like everyone involved is feeding off of each other energy-wise and that's why the song has such an alive and breathing feel to it.

Even if I'm wrong about the whole live-on-the-floor recording aspect, listening to this track makes you want to go see Gabriel perform this live simply because if you can capture this kind of wonderful energy on record like that then seeing it live must be amazing.

The song has color, charisma, vibrancy, and soul, and that comes through vocally and especially in that guitar work.

Not only is Gabriel a great songwriter but a guitarist first and foremost as you can tell that's his passion instrument just by the way he plays it.

Upon listening to this track, I took a little bit of a deep dive into his back catalog and I'm pretty glad I did because he's got a few other singles released for this one starting in 2022 and all of them have something slightly different to bring to the table and also show the same kind of spirited performance that this track does.

I would suggest checking this one out when you can and then listening to some of his previous material as well because it's more than worth your time.

For people that love this style of blues, this is 100% for you and for guitar players, you're going to love this track as well just by the way he plays that guitar.

But don't just take my word for it, have a listen for yourself.
