A New Track from D!lemma Shapes An Edgy Electronic Soundscape

The new single from D!lemma recently dropped. This track showcases a producer and DJ, an artist and creator who is absolutely in tune with being able to build his own atmosphere and sculpt sound so that you have a track that feels robust, energetic, and edgy, but also vast in its undertone at the same time.


One of the most addicting aspects about "Conspiracies" is that it blends all kinds of electronic subgenres together seamlessly. It's built with attention to detail, with arrangement and a sense of freedom in shaping tone.


To me, this track blends bass, trap, EDM, and elements of dubstep, while still keeping classic house elements intact and creating something that feels even cinematic at times.


The track starts with something that sounds like it's straight out of a horror movie. It's a great rift and an example of how he's able to pull you in with an eerie hook right from the get-go.


Of course, this expands and branches out into other elements, bringing in new synthesizers and keys to help build the sound, along with a beat that starts more subtle and grows into something bigger and more fierce.


Throughout the track, you have all these experimental and almost trippy elements, sound effects, and layers of textures that come in and out, which all make the song a little bit rambunctious, but that's part of its energy.


This is a track that puts out a particular kind of energy, and once you fall into that energy, there's no getting out.


There are some minimal vocal samples here and there, scattered about throughout the track, and a lot of the fat, edgy synthesizers, reminiscent of elements of that dubstep sound, are part of what his signature feel is. They call it frog.


This artist is known for that frog sound, and he incorporates that, along with all the other influences that he brings to the table in order to put together a track that feels alive and breathing.


You can hear actual beat machine samples in there, and so much more from old to new school effects and sounds, and all of these layers are put together in such a genius way.


This is a very lush piece of work. A lot is going on, plenty to chew on, and it's addictive.


This is one of those tracks that showcases someone who spends a lot of time on his craft.


It's perfectly clear that D!lemma is in love with that craft and has made it a huge part of his life.


This single, in particular, showcases a little bit of a dark overtone with loads of that edginess, slight alternative underbellies, and again, this almost cinematic feel to it.


If that doesn't just come from some of the main synthesizer riffs, but also, again, this spaciousness or ambient undertone that the song gives off as well.


All of this shows me an artist who pays a lot of attention to detail. Even the smaller ones.


All of the synths and keys fit together like puzzle pieces somehow.


Again, it still has that sporadic, wild feel to it. It would be a great fit for a scene where someone is getting chased by someone else in a film.


There's a sense of tension within the track, and I feel like that's delivered really heavy-handedly.


All in all, this was outstanding and really delivered something that brilliantly laced together different approaches to electronic music and put that love for sculpting sound up front.


Because there's so much going on, it feels almost freeing as much as it does tense.


I would suggest listening to the track at a good loud volume, or even with headphones on, so you can soak in all of those layers and textures going on.


Either way, take a deep dive into this track as soon as you can because you absolutely won't regret it, especially if you're into experimental but layered electronic music with depth to it.
