A Colorful New Single from Mimika

A bright and poppy but still alluring new single from Mimika has a way of giving off this almost vintage 1980s pop aesthetic with unique synthesizers and sounds that build that feel, and when you listen to the track, you will likely get a nostalgic sense.

The thing about this track that reels you in is the sort of in-your-face personality of it all. This track seems to be about a fling or a crush. It's basically saying it's okay to let the world stop around you to do this one thing that you want to do. Tell that person how you feel, when they make a move, go for it, there's so much in the moment spirit in this track, and I think that's why it thrives.

I feel like we've all had that happen to us. We all have been in a position at least once or twice in our lives where we felt like...hey, we should just go for it right now, because who cares.

We sort of throw aside consequences or any thoughts that would stop us and just say yes.

I love songs like that because not only does it remind you that you're human, but it also reminds you that you should do things like this sometimes, because you are alive only once.

Take advantage of the chances that you get if you really feel like you want to.

The track is called "Elevator", and it talks about being stuck in an elevator with someone that you probably have a crush on or that has a crush on you, and maybe they make a move, and maybe you say yes.

I love this. It's something that people fantasize about, to say the least.

Everyone's had the thought of being stuck in an elevator with the person they have a crush on or that they like, and seeing what happens.

I think it's fantastic that Mimika put that sentiment into a song and put it out there with such an addictive and spirited soundscape that you can't turn away.

This is an overall pop single, and it feels great to listen to. It comes through with plenty of color and vibrancy because those vocals are harmonious and riddled with character, a lot of the time.

The single has a 90s kind of beat to it with those 80s synthesizers as I mentioned earlier, and the vocals are just lush and gorgeous the entire time. Not only do they come through with that character, but some of the vocal harmonies are just gorgeous, adding so much texture and layers to the track right where it needs them.

Most of all, this is a danceable track. You want to get up and move your body to it, it's fun, it has a great chorus that sort of sticks with you for quite some time after the song has ended, and if you listen to it first thing in the morning, it'll set the tone for the day.

Trust me when I tell you, it'll be a good tone, and maybe you'll be hoping to get stuck in that elevator with that person on your way up to your office.

Either way, this is certainly a track to take advantage of, and with that, there is an amazing music video that is super bouncy, just as colorful as the track itself, and displays a lot of artist presence and fun.

This feels like a summer song to me. It feels like the kind of thing that you want to pop on your headphones and dance around the living room.

I am someone who grew up in the '80s. Listening to this song made me feel right at home, and I feel like Mimika draws from the same era of pop music when she's creating her tracks.

Of course, there are other elements here, too. She does put a fresh spin on it and utilizes several different influences to create her soundscape, but to me, that '80s vibe is strong here, and it just makes me love the song even more.

I think watching the music video the first time you listen to this song is the way to go.

They put a lot of effort into how they did their thing. The choreography, they're literally in an elevator, they just did it full on, and I love how much effort they put into the music video.

It just shows the kind of lengths an artist will go to create the vision that they have while still having a blast.

So, check this out now and kick off your summer the right way with Mimika.
