A passionate new single from ALIA gives off an honest and very personal persona and with it is delivered this beautiful character that you become attached to the further into the song you go, and this is such a beautiful thing because it makes everything so authentic and genuine that you almost never wanted to end.
"I'm Getting Off (Radio Edit)" is built off of a heavy emotional drive and this is evident throughout the entire track, and the song is a solid 7 minutes long so it gives you a lot of time to fall into the atmosphere of what this song delivers.
The thing about this track is that it's so sort of stripped down and it's got this reverb on the vocals that give them even more of a passionate feel and all of this together has a way of wrapping itself around you and keeping you right where it wants to.
There's a lot about this track that has a sort of cinematic backbone and I can certainly hear this track in the background of an emotional scene in a film or TV show even.
I think it's that lush persona that you get attached to so quickly and how the song creates this infectious vibe and lets you sort of get engulfed in it all and then in the end, washed away with it.
There's something about a song like this that makes you think because it does have a relatability to it but it also makes you feel and I think just in general, that we need more music that does that to us.
Upon listening to this single I took it upon myself to take a little bit of a deep dive into the artist's back catalog and did come across a wonderful EP released last year.
Listening to that EP also gets your emotions going and gets you thinking as well and I think this is just part of her intense approach and it really works like a charm.
The music that ALIA puts out there feels like it's cathartic for her to write and release it because of that it's so understandable and relatable to the listener.
The thing about music like this is that, and we don't know how to articulate that so when it comes across an artist like this, it leaves me a little bit in awe because of their ability to actually articulate their thoughts and feelings into these words and then into this music.
There's something almost magical about that and it's not just because they did it, it's because they did it in a way that you can relate to and that leaves a mark.
This was a beautifully woven and passionately delivered single that came from the heart and real-life experience.
If you are someone who likes music that can make you feel something, then this is for you.
