em & I is an indie artist and producer based in Montréal, Canada. Crafting alternative raw pop from his garage studio, he blurs the lines between introspection and connection. With a deep fascination for human relationships (an interest shaped in part by his mother’s work as a psychiatrist) the songwriting explores the complexities of connection, heartbreak, addictions and renewal. The music is both a reflection and a cleansing, capturing the highs and lows of intimacy with the utmost honesty. Em & I has worked with artists such as Sean Nicholas Savage, Reu, & Kroy, earning the trust of well-respected voices in the music industry. These experiences have helped sharpen his ability to create with purpose, serving the music first and letting truth lead the way. A dedicated live performer, em & I has taken the stage as a solo act and also as a group, seen in the em & I Rooftop Sessions, performing alongside his older brother Félix on saxophone, Alexis Gagnon (drummer for Charlotte Cardin/The Brooks), and Érika Fogagnolo (bassist for Béli/Velours Velours). His passion for live music seeps into his songwriting, where real instruments and organic textures remains the heartbeat of his pen. With a growing catalog of three EPs, seven singles, and an unwavering commitment to storytelling, em & I is carving out a space where vulnerability meets modern sonics and Gen Z ambition. His music isn’t just something to listen to—it’s something to feel.
