Waymon Hudson

Waymon Hudson is a Costa Rica–by-way-of-the-United States–based singer, songwriter, memoirist, and musical theatre composer. A queer, late-deafened artist, he creates music through memory and vibration, transforming silence into bold, sensual pop/R&B songs with singer-songwriter intimacy. When he writes, he chases the way a fingertip across your arm can say more than words. The way your pulse syncs with someone else’s in the dark. The way a single inhale can hold both longing and release. His songs are tactile confessions — memories pressed against warm skin, nights you wish would never end, touches that linger hours later. Hudson’s debut single, “Ruin Me Slowly,” introduces his upcoming album Through My Skin, where every track is built for the body as much as the ear: low-end you can feel in your bones, harmonies that wrap around you, melodies that move like breath against your neck. This is music for dancing close, for kissing slow, for remembering the exact taste of a moment. It’s not about listening — it’s about feeling every second. Beyond his work as a recording artist, Hudson is also the author of the memoir Notes from a Sissy and the writer/lyricist of Speakeasy: A New Musical. Together, these projects reflect his multi-hyphenate artistry and his bold vision: to turn silence into story, and story into survival.
