THROWLIGHT RELEASES NEW SINGLE, "OBLIVION"

Southern California’s genre-blurring powerhouse Throwlight is back with their second single, "Oblivion," a track that promises to shake up the metal, hip-hop, and hardcore scenes. Dropping hot on the heels of their breakout anthem, "Back Down," the group continues to push boundaries, blending crushing riffs, explosive beats, and razor-sharp rap verses. Fans can catch the adrenaline-pumping track live at Throwlight's upcoming show on October 25th, where they’ll share the stage with metal/hardcore heavyweights Norma Jean and Cancer Bats.

"Oblivion" teases what's to come from the band’s upcoming debut album, produced by Paul Miner, who’s worked with punk and hardcore royalty like Death By Stereo, New Found Glory, and Adolescents. Though the album details are still under wraps, fans can expect nothing short of a sonic firestorm, with Miner helping Throwlight sharpen their genre-defying sound.

Hailing from South Orange County, Throwlight’s members have forged bonds since childhood, and this unique team-up comes through every track. Led by notable underground rapper Rocom and backed by the diverse talents of Kevin Betz, Chris Ellis, and King of Somewhere, the band’s sound is a potent mix of alt-metal, hip-hop, and hardcore. Their unique fusion keeps fans moving, thinking, and wanting more as they blend the grit of hip-hop with the aggression of metal and hardcore, tied together by Rocom’s unapologetic, streetwise delivery.

With their debut single and music video for “Back Down” already creating buzz online, "Oblivion" takes that intensity even further. This group is on the rise, creating their own lane in a crowded scene and proving that Throwlight isn’t just a name to watch — they’re here to dominate.

“Every relationship comes to a point of choosing to stay or move forward. This song deals with the frustrations and pains of that moment. Losing something that you had hoped you would fight for, but ultimately having to let go. It’s a song that deals with expectations vs reality and how much that can hurt.” - Rocom / Throwlight
