The Jinny Joes are a folk Montreal-based band, made up of Rebecca Egan (vox), Joanna DeGrâce (vox), and Alain Gaudet (guitarist & multi-instrumentalist). In Ireland, dandelions are called jinny joes and much like dandelion seeds themselves, the trio found each other by chance via an online platform for musicians. What started as weekly living room jams quickly turned to song writing and a vision for sharing their music beyond the walls of their apartments. A nurse from the Eastern towhships (Joanna), a carpenter from Témiscamingue (Alain), and a children's charity manager from Ireland (Rebecca); the trio found connection through a deep passion for music, and a shared belief deeper in the power of music for healing.
