A new single from SUANNA gives you a little insight into a part of her personality and how she copes with the struggles of keeping a secret she probably shouldn't be keeping. The new track focuses on a cinematic pop, semi-orchestrated approach, and it works perfectly for this track because of the dramatic sentiment behind it all.
"Bad Bad Secret" works on so many levels. It lyrically expresses those hurdles and struggles in keeping that secret, and how she knows she probably shouldn't be doing it, but she is anyway. Throughout the track, you get such a sense for the character behind this single, and that's really what shines.
The song is indeed very cinematically driven. There are orchestrated strings that push the song forward and add a lushness to the backing of everything, along with sort of intense vocals that deliver some of the emotion the song boasts.
I'm certainly digging the blend of classic, almost '90s pop with a fresher approach. You have these pianos hitting certain root notes in the back, and they help give the song this intensity, along with these beautiful vocal harmonies that come in and out throughout the song.
The course is absolutely epic. There's so much going on, so many textures and layers of sound that come through during that climactic section, along with this amazing hook that she pulls off and doesn't with a certain kind of swagger I want to say.
It's almost like she delved deeper into this character for the song itself to really express that premise as much as she can.
This is the track I feel can be very relatable. Anyone who's got that bad, ugly secret that they are always sort of running from or hiding from can be tense.
I think that SUANNA absolutely captured that tension so well, both vocally and musically, that all the raw emotion and energy of it comes through with flying colors.
As the song unfolds, you start to hear more backing vocals come into the track, and those add a different flow as they are drenched in reverb effect and harmonized, so you have a whole different wall of sound coming in the background and adding this almost hot to the song, again, helping to build the intensity of what's going on.
By the end of it, you kind of get the vibe that she can't take it anymore. The secret must come out.
I love a song that's got such a great premise like this. I'm not sure if it is actually coming from something real, but it feels like it is.
Sounds like this can be so connective and relatable in a lot of different ways, and SUANNA manages to pull off a song that bends pop genres and delivers this thick and full-bodied cinematic pop experience that takes over when you listen to it.
You're delving into her world for a minute. You're taking a trip into her mind, and how the tensions of keeping that secret are tearing her apart, in a sense.
You can feel that in your bones when you listen to the track, and the way the music was orchestrated, arranged, and composed was brilliant to really push all of that forward.
This was a very lush single that had such a graceful and sort of intense sonic presence to it that it was very unique.
Definitely check this track out as soon as you can because it makes you think. I love a song that pulls you into someone else's world for a little bit.
Even though you get to escape your world and dive into hers for a moment, if you're a person with that bad, bad secret, you can't help but think of your own while you listen to the track.
I'm not saying I have fun. I'm just saying... Well, perhaps I've said enough.
Either way, this is an amazing track with a huge wave of sound that comes at you with those courses, and you don't want to miss that.
Check this one out now and hear all about SUANNA's bad, bad secret.
