"Eternity" is a wonderfully woven single that appeals to the anyone into the topic of love. it is indeed a love song and flows with a silky tonality that blends in a sultry set of vocals the burst into sections of phrasing that speed up and it all works all too well.

This track has a feel all its own and takes you to a different place all together.

It can make you think of your person, and it causes memories to pop up in your head when you least expect it.

This is a killer summer single that will have you singing along with the chorus by the end of the run for sure.

It's blend of indie-pop in there using swelling and vast synth pads really works well and it gives the song this huge feel that comes off reverbed and addictive.

With the release of such a great song, we wanted to have a chat with G Peoples to find out where this crisp R&B single came from.

here's what happened.

RAG: Okay so let's start with "Eternity". This track had a really cool almost retro=pop undertone to it. Where did this single come from?

  • Oh man, this single just came from writing so much poetry. I get these crazy creative surges every now and then, and one week, I wrote a collection of poetry that turned into the songs that will be on my upcoming album Change in Season. With this song Eternity I was very much in a space of imagination talking to my perfect lover hence the retro-like dreamy tone of the song. It was like a love letter with a statement and was like my way to show my versatility in a song. The melodies starting out then the smooth rap verses towards the end.

RAG: I'm hearing some great styles on this release. Who are some of your biggest musical influences?

  • I have so many influences. Just to name a few, Rexx Life Raj is a major inspiration, along with Russ, Drake, 6lack, Saint Jhn, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Kendrick, J.Cole, Kanye, Young Thug, and all of Beastcoast. I learned something from every single one of these artist and that is only a small sum of hip-hop artist that inspire me. The list never ends and just continues to grow, not mention the many artist in different genres like The Marias, Quinn Xcii, Khalid, Alina Baraz and I’ll just stop there before I start naming off various artist in my playlist.

RAG: So how did this all begin for you really? When did you fall in love with making music?

  • This all began with me writing poetry. I never planned on actually recording music, I fell in love with writing and solemnly wanted to do that. After sharing so many poems and creating self-published poetry books my family kept suggesting I try making music too. Even then I didn’t really follow that calling until my old college roommate asked me if I wanted to hop on a beat he made. From that very first moment, recording, hearing myself for the first time and hearing my poetry turn into a song, that’s when I fell in love with music.

RAG: What's next for you as an artist?

  • What’s next for me, I always have many things in motion. I’m currently planning for the release of my new single “Fallin’” June 24th & album releasing soon after titled “Change in Season”. Followed by a couple eps later this year. I have many different sounds and this year I’m really taking the opportunity for my audience to hear all sides of me.

RAG: What inspires you to write a song?

  • Life itself inspires me. The experiences in every moment, the beauty, the chaos, the ups and downs. Life itself is creation that encourages me to create. Through my hardest moments and most joyful moments I’m able to transform it into music.

RAG: What are you doing when you're NOT working on music?

  • When I’m not working on music, I’m writing, creating poetry or modeling. Or even meditating and sharing with others the importance f mindfulness.

RAG: Who are you listening to right now?

  • Today, I’ve been bumping Rexx Life Raj, I enjoy going to his artist page and just hitting shuffle. Another album I’m really looking forward to however is Post Malone's new album “Twelve Carat Toothache”

RAG: Are you doing live performances?

  • I’ve done a handful in Dallas before moving to LA but here in LA I haven’t done many so far just a few open mics. I am looking to book more shows throughout summer!

RAG: This single seems like a big undertaking. What kind of advice might you have for other up and coming artists out there?

  • Don’t compare yourself to anyone else in this industry. Find your authentic voice and don’t be afraid to stand out or explore with your sound. Allow your passion to lead you and your career will unfold.

RAG: Before we go, what would you like to say to fans of the music?

  • Be on the lookout for new music and music videos.

  • New single called “Fallin’” coming out June 24th

  • New album coming out in august called “Change in Season”

  • As well as my latest single “Eternity” out on all platforms
