“Wanna Be You” is a rock/pop song with up-tempo beat, crunchy guitars, subtle synths, and layered vocals. The lyrics are a meaningful look at our current obsession with wanting to be someone else. It follows on from my successful second single “Be The Same Again”. I’m Ravenistic, a pop/rock artist from Australia with deep roots in the 80s and 90s rock scene. I’ve done the usual stuff - played in a band, broken up a band, continued writing music, wrote novels, composed tension music for film/TV, and I am now embarking on a solo singer/songwriter career. Drawing inspiration from icons like Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, Kim Wilde, and the edgy energy of Transvision Vamp, I have returned to my passion for crafting vibrant, hook-driven songs. My music explores the complexities of relationships, the highs and lows of love, and the journey of personal growth. My first solo album “Trendy" is out in August 2025. It features catchy melodies, subtle synths, crunchy guitars, upbeat tempos, and a blend of retro and modern sounds.
