My Free Heart, the new single from Iranian-born artist and peace advocate Shervin Boloorian (out September 19). Recorded in both English and Persian, this moving track is a heartfelt plea against war with Iran and a call for peace across the Middle East.
Produced by Grammy Award-winner Kipper Eldridge (Sting’s Brand New Day), the song features international collaborators including Carl Young (Spearhead) on bass and Sakari Heikka on viola and shakuhachi flute.
Kipper reflects:
“This song holds a very special place in my creative heart. Shervin’s guitar riff is both beautifully simple and deceptively complex, anchoring the piece with elegance. This new Iranian version offers a glimpse into the real Iran through the eyes and lives of its people. It’s powerful and moving, and I have no doubt it will resonate deeply with everyone who hears it.”
The Persian-language video pairs the song with imagery of Iran’s people and culture, alongside striking poetry from Dr. Hardini Dyah Astuti, highlighting resilience and beauty often overshadowed by conflict.
My Free Heart is the first glimpse of Shervin’s forthcoming album Unbroken — music that bridges cultures, languages, and struggles, offering hope and unity through sound.
