Mimika Delivers A Witty and Colorful Single

ree

A new single release from Mimika brings out a vibrant and colorful approach to a very outspoken honesty, and I feel like it's a song that can be quite relatable to a lot of us but she plays it out so well on this track that you get exactly where she's coming from because we've all been there at one point or another.

"Interesting Things" is a track about being with someone who sort of tells the same old stories or runs their mouth, trying to make their history seem a little bit more interesting than it is.

It's hard not to get bored with these kinds of things at times, and Mimika delivers this sentiment with such wit and a half-humorous approach that it's borderline brilliant.

The track has such a summer flavor to it. It's upswing, bright, vivacious, fun, invasively danceable, and features a slew of great instrumentation, jamming guitars, and a wonderful groove that is all coated in pop.

This is certainly an artist who knows how to speak her mind but also delivers it in a way that sits firmly under the pop umbrella so that it can come through catchy and addictive, as well as showcasing her robust personality and humorous wit.

This is a song that speaks so much for the artist. It shows you the kind of person she is and how she could be lighthearted with situations by creating songs that are almost theatrical but actually do have a point to them.

It's almost like you know she felt this way at some point, but didn't want to go crazy about it. She touches on the overlaying aspects of the fact that she is probably the most interesting thing that's happened to that significant other, and again, this is a thought that a lot of us have had at some point.

I just love the way she gets it out there. She's got no walls built around her, and it lets her be completely free to speak her mind with a little bit of a whipping tongue so that she can always stay on top and have the upper hand.

This is a brilliant approach because you feed right into it.

Throughout this track, you have some great instrumentation that lets the song feel warm and almost welcoming, strangely, still with that bright and wholehearted soundscape that keeps to that vibrancy and lets you know this is a pop song overall.

Her vocals are outstanding throughout this entire thing simply because not only does she deliver all these great hooks that stick in your brain for hours after the song has ended, but she also showcases her range as a vocalist in a way.

She does great with backing vocals, and the upfront vocals have a lot of power to them, where she grabs your attention, which comes through with that beautiful robustness and presence that will pull you away from a conversation that you're having so that you can pay more attention to the song itself.

Again, this is half whimsical in a way. She's speaking her mind and the truth, which is a great breed of honesty, but she's doing it in her own humorous, quirky kind of way, where she's purposely being a little bit over the top, and it works amazingly.

The whole thing gives her a particular charm.

This single comes with a wonderful music video that brings out the artist's presence even more as she portrays her character in the song visually and does it with such a sense of empowerment and, again, whimsy, that it fits perfectly.

This was a most enjoyable track from an artist who is not afraid to say what she wants, how she wants, and make it relatable and connective to a lot of listeners.

She comes with a ton of that personality and character, and that is the thing that you end up loving about the song.

I suggest checking this one out by watching the music video first because it's one of the best ways to get the full vibe of the song the first time around.

Again, she does some amazing stuff, and visually, that lineup perfectly matches the song in terms of the character delivered.

Check this track out as soon as you can, and you'll see exactly what I mean.
