Mike Donello

Mike Donello is an artist of natural soul, folk, pop, and rock based in Austin, TX. Mike leads The New Essentials, a local band of multi- instrumentalists and singers. He plays a blend of many instruments from guitar to ukulele, bass, drums and percussion. Mike always likes teaming up with fellow musician friends to share the stage and each other’s songs. In 2018 Mike formed The New Essentials with a rotating cast of artists that share upbeat originals and always have great cover song choices. Sounds of reggae and rock, blues guitar and pop harmonies, cajon and djembe, with instruments all passed around, create a unique texture-filled experience. With a steady flow of good vibes, new music and classic covers, Mike Donello and The New Essentials honor the great Austin music experience both in and out of Austin, TX.
