A new release delivered from Livvy D gives off a character-riddled soundscape that blends hip-hop and pop together with a fusion that boasts a bright and colorful energy and an honest undertone all performed with a charm.
"Take A Number (Club Remix)" goes beyond the realm of just being danceable. This is addictive and does an amazing job of displaying her presence as an artist along with that certain element of pop class that she portrays in her songs and her videos.
One of the things I love about this track is the way that it blends a kind of vintage an old school pop undertone and of an almost futuristic one at the same time to create an atmosphere that you just don't want to leave.
The production is polished and helps the song push the envelope and it's amazing how Livvy can adapt yourself to her songs the way she does because she creates this character and persona with each new track that just becomes so addictive and that's part of the thing that you end up becoming attached to in the end.
The single has an endless energy that has a youthful backbone and a sort of vast soundscape at times that not only hits with a perfect combination of color and edge but also with melodies and hooks that stick in your head for days after the song is ended.
This is the kind of track that comes from a certain level of teamwork, and everyone involved gave a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this song, but it still never loses that heart or that persona that it began with in the first place and that just may be the most important aspect of it all.
The way the rapping is infused with those pop choruses is just outstanding and everyone seems to carry that same energy along with them giving the song an unstoppable tonality.
The only thing that's pulled off as well as the song itself is the music video that accompanies it because that also pushes that envelope even more so that you get great visual presence and character along with what you're hearing.
And Livvy pulls all this off without a hitch like it's second nature to her and maybe it is.
Maybe she was just born to do this in the first place.
Either way, you can certainly tell that she's having a blast doing her thing both in the song and the video alike and this is something that you can see and hear so you get this positive and uplifting vibe as soon as everything starts.Â
This was a pure pop banger from start to finish and hits all the sweet spots a strong pop song should and more.Â
Upon listening to the single I took a little bit of a deep dive into her releases previous to this one and was certainly delighted with what I found because with each track you get something just a little bit different and it all comes through with that same unique energy.
I suggest checking this one out first and turning it up by the way, and then checking out some of our other singles and videos.
I for one am going to be paying a lot of attention to Livvy D from here on out.
This whole thing from song to video gets a 9 out of 10 in my book, hands down.
