International Road

International Road has released the debut album, Leave Us at Bay, out May 9 via Tourist Visa. The 15-track project marks a bold first chapter for the artist, whose work blends immersive sound design to explore dreams, movement, and the weight of displacement and uncertainty in an increasingly connected world. A self-described “sonic journal,” Leave Us at Bay maps an emotional and physical journey—each song a vivid snapshot of a place, moment, or fleeting encounter. The album shimmers with layered synths, field recordings, and percussive textures that pull from a kaleidoscope of regional influences. It’s equal parts electronic dreamscape and funky, dance-ready diary. Tracks like “Because of You” and “You Wake Up One Day” channel the controlled chaos of urban sprawl, while slower, meditative cuts like “Forgive” reflect solitude and stillness. The album reflects life lived across continents, inspired by the raw materials of travel journalism, film, and faith. Here, geography moves with the beat—less a location, more a collaborator. Other singles have included "Tokyo", "Within Four Walls in Japan" and "God Saves," which combines funk, electronic, and uplifting spiritual themes to share the message of Jesus’ love and saving grace.
