A brand-new single from Hopes Avenue brings an intense and immersive alternative rock and metal soundscapes that not only has this vastness in its undertone along with its sonic drive, but it has a lot of emotional drive as well and from that you get honesty.
"Walk Away" is a song that comes from someplace genuine. It's got too much emotion and fire behind it for it not to be authentic, and that lets the song have power because it's not only intense in those ways but for the listener it's super relatable.
When you listen to the track you feel like it was cathartic for the singer to write and release finally because it feels very much like he's getting something off of his chest in the only way he knows how which is through the music.
These are the kinds of things that give songs personality and let's these kinds of tracks crawl under your skin in the best ways possible.
The reason this song has so much impact is partly because it really feels like it could have served as part of the soundtrack for certain chapters in your own life.
This track sounds like it was written just for you even though you know it wasn't.
You do know it was certainly written for somebody and the lyrics give a lot of that away which I won't do here in this article, but when you listen to the song you will really get a grip on what it's about.
What I can tell you is that the guitar tone is immense, and the track does have a little bit of a cinematic backbone at times but it's heavier sections in the middle featuring vocals that are passionate and have a certain level of soul and lots of heart, but also have different levels of aggression in their undertone.
Throughout a lot of the song, you have powerful singing but there are also heavier breakdown sections that feature screaming and grueling at times which brings in the heavier metal aspects of the track.
All in all, the song is very anthemic in its own way and you can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this track but throughout all of that, it never loses that persona or that character that it starts with in the first place and that itself is the most important part of the whole thing.
This was a bit deeper in meaning but it also has this piercing emotion and Shining production so that the whole thing feels massive and when you listen to it, it creates a sort of atmosphere that you fall right into, so it becomes a bit of an escape for a small chunk of time.
When you listen to this track, especially with headphones, you're not paying attention to anything else, but the song can cause memories of your own to pop into your head and this is part of the connection that the song creates.
I love a song that has that heavy edge to it like this song does, has that great polish, and has a meaning because it came from some place authentic.
This track gives all of that and more.
A massive single from a band I will absolutely be paying a lot more attention to from here on out, dive into this track as soon as you can, don't be afraid to turn it up, and while you're at it check out some of the band's previous releases on Spotify because there's a lot that has dropped in the past few years alone and all of it is worth listening to.
Remember where you heard this one first.
