British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Henry Charles is an artist based in South London. Having earned a reputation on the city's live scene for his powerful and soulful vocal performances, Henry has now turned his focus to the craft of writing, recording, and producing a body of work from his bedroom in Battersea. Growing up, Henry was captivated by the artistry of legends like BB King, Robin Trower, and Jimmy Hendrix. This gave him an obsession with guitar from the age of 8 years old, but it wasn’t until much later that he discovered his love for singing. He’s since dedicated his life to the craft of songwriting and producing, picking up numerous other instruments along the way. Henry also grew up with a diverse range of creative interests in the visual arts. Alongside his music, he has practised as a fine artist painting commissioned portraits. This dual artistic expression reflects his holistic commitment to creativity and is still a huge part of his process today. Along with his broad range of influences from the '60s & '70s era, Henry hopes to blend his sound with inspiration from contemporary artists like Liana La Havas, Bruno Major, and Tom Odell. Infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics will always be a huge part of Henry’s songwriting. Throughout 2024, Henry will be releasing a collection of singles in the build-up to his first EP and getting back on stage to reconnect with his loyal audience.
