Guipago Dreams is a newly formed NYC based Alt-Country/Experimental Folk act. Creatively driven by music veteran Jacob Thomas Carr, their aim is to give you a taste of Americana unlike any you've ever had before. His vocals evoke Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Matt Berlinger of The National, and Zach Condon of Beirut. With a background both as a concert composer and musical theater MD, JTC has a well honed approach to arrangements that seamlessly weave in unexpected influences. Secondary vocals provided with a classic sound reminiscent of Tori Amos and Janis Joplin by Shannon Helene Barnes. Production is creative and tight by Broadway musician Nick Anton, who also contributes guitars, bass, and drums. Special guest appearance by Mike Brinzer on Woodwinds for their opening release.
