It is VERY Cat Power (very 'Metal Heart' imo) but the vibe is also reminiscent of Phoebe Bridgers' more depressing songs, maybe a little Evanescence and Lana Del Rey (lyrically at least). It's a moody, melancholic, somewhat self-pitying reflection rooted in my experience as an actress, which has been my primary career before I started releasing music in July 2024. I tend to play quirky/funny and bubbly characters and the 'clown' type characters -- my 'type' is honestly Manic Pixie Dream Girl with a sense of humor. And this song is basically me looking back on that and realizing I've let it bleed into my personal relationships. It's about playing the fool. Allowing others to 'cast' me as that and giving them what they want, rather than showing who I really am.
