Gabrielle Manna

If you’re a fan of indie folk pop, biting witticisms, and rich storytelling, Gabrielle Manna is the artist for you. Manna's songs deal with relationships: ‘You taught me how to fight, when you made our home a prison’, she sings in "Call Out Post", exposing the gaslighting and manipulation of a past abuser. "Clown Song" takes a lighter approach, poking fun at an ex. with lines like, “I am not free therapy (and you can’t afford the fee). Meanwhile, “Curse Your Name” is a ballad of inner child healing and “breaking the patterns you locked yourself into” in past relationships. Her music is also heavily influenced by her background as an actress and writer: most notably, “Typecast,” which highlights the pitfalls of putting yourself into a box to please others…. but is also literally about being typecast. Beneath the surface of Manna’s artistic pursuits lies a struggle familiar to many—a quest for authenticity in a world of expectations. While onstage she will always have to ‘follow the script,’ her music is distinctively hers, and she is ready to share her story.
