Beetle Foot is the new release from Primitive Language and it has no problem going for righteous rock energy and great guitar sounds right from the first track.
Throughout the album you get glimpses of all the different styles the band takes on but always sticking with that hard rock that gets right in your face and takes on riffage and jamming that stems from some of the bands they knew and loved growing up.
"There is a variety of influences on the album, from German Rock - Can, Neu, Kraftwerk, Trio, Rammstein, to 80s bands - Midnight Oil, Magazine, to exploratory guitar sounds - Joe Satriani, Dick Dale, to more recent music - QOTSA, Electric 6, Dungen and more." - Primitive Language
There is a lot of those coming through in the songwriting and guitar performances.
More about the band:
Primitive Language has been releasing records since their first and self-titled EP in 2016 and have gone on to release the full length Thin Men in 2022, the Blood On The Moon EP in 2023, followed by Schokolade in 2024. The band began as a side project that soon turned into a main point of focus.
"The drummer and I were playing in Faspeedelay, a post-rock instrumental band and we began jamming on material that didn't fit with what we were doing so we started Primitive Language as a side project, and this later became the main project," says Charles Zammit, the band's keyboardist, vocalist, and guitarist.
The Beetle Foot album is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.
The album is available for streaming or download on all major outlets or as a limited edition CD (through Bandcamp), and the band is always working on new material for upcoming releases.
