Dirtwomb is the one-man sludge/grunge metal project of Bruce Mash, a studio-born exploration of heaviness, decay, and truth. Influenced by the grim soul of Alice in Chains and the filthy weight of Acid Bath, Crowbar, and Eyehategod, Dirtwomb crafts music that balances groove with grit — melody with menace. Every riff, scream, and lyric comes from a DIY spirit — recorded, mixed, and created in total isolation. Dirtwomb’s sound channels the internal battles that fester beneath the surface: depression, addiction, violence, and the moral collapse of the world around us. The self-titled debut EP introduces that world through three tracks — “Blinded,” “My Eyes, My Arms, My Legs,” and “Kill the Rat King” — each peeling back another layer of anguish and confrontation. Heavy. Honest. Human. Dirtwomb is the sound of one man buried beneath the weight of it all — still clawing toward the light.
