A new single release from Deully is one of uplifted spirits and with that comes a certain kind of heavy rock soundscape and attitude that makes you feel like no matter what's in front of you, you can thrive and rise from the ashes which I think is part of the whole premise of this track because it does talk a lot about how far the work you've put in has taken you up to now and a lot of us don't pay attention to that.
Too many of us work hard and get far but sometimes we've set goals that are so intense or so almost outrageous that we don't realize how far we've come until we sit down and think about it.
This track is about recognizing your progress and letting that get your blood pumping and this gives you a newfound energy and sense of invincibility.
"Bulletproof" is a great name for this track in that sense.
We are no strangers to Deully and the project's thriving heavy rock and metal soundscape, but this track is such a strong one because it packs a massive punch, but again, it also comes through fighting and calls to the inner warrior in all of us in a sense.
I love this because again, we need that. We need a reminder that lets us know and reminds us that we've been fighting, and that fighting has let us somewhere. We've made progress and we should be proud of that to the point where it lets us feel powerful.
All of this is incredibly true for a lot of us.
Getting down to the music, the riffs are outstanding, and in true Deully fashion, the guitar tone itself is sonically driving and just huge, letting the whole thing take on the sense of an almost classic metal kind of vibe but with a much heavier and edgier sound tone-wise.
Not only that but vocally a lot of intensity as well because the song is so true to heart, and he is just letting out these inner thoughts that he needed to.
These are the kinds of things that work well with a song that's got drive like this one does. He's able to take that massive drive and that heavy rock sound and let it drive him vocally which works amazingly because he's really belting out these melodies and the words that pump the song up and give it its gusto.
The guitar work all in all is outstanding and I feel like this is the kind of project in which the guitars and vocals always seem to complement each other and push each other further which I love about the project as a whole.
This single speaks volumes for Deully and gives a perfect example of what the project is all about.
A lot of the songs released by Deully have a deeper meaning and higher impact, so they come from places that are pretty real and I think that's part of what helps make the whole project what it is.
This is also the kind of sound that pushes the envelope and goes just slightly over the top sometimes, but it works so well because it's infectious.
This is one hell of a power play from Deully and it tells me that no matter what's in his way, he's going to break through it and this song is proof of exactly that and more.
Check this out, turn it up, and go check out the rest of his catalog on Spotify because it's incredibly worth your time especially if you dig this track which I'm sure you will.
