A Smooth and Honest New Single From Cash Corleone and MGB Music
Cash Corleone teams up with Mista GettBack MGB MUSIC to deliver a completely fresh approach to some classic genres, blended with cultural flair and robust but smooth R&B overtones, along with brilliantly performed rapping that all come together and create this boisterous atmosphere and, in doing so, give a great love song in the process.
This single is riddled with hooks left and right. The choruses are thick and heavily melodic, with plenty of edgy undertones and atmospheric vibes coming through as well. This song has a vast underbelly to it, and it works great for the clubs or radio.
What really hits about this track is its character, though. This song has so much personality attached to it, and I think that's what you end up really relating to the most.
Again, this serves almost like a love song, telling the story of how two people meet and how someone's world changes when that person comes along.
It does have some great personal perspective in terms of the storytelling, but the whole thing has a natural swagger to it as well.
You start to get some great melodic hooks right from the get-go, with some vocals that really just dive straight in and give you little hints of afrobeat approaches, along with these great samples that float through the song's background and give it depth and layers.
Throughout this track, there are layers of vocal tracks that are complementing each other, bouncing off of each other, and flowing in and out of each other.
All this was really brilliantly done, and you can clearly tell that there was a lot of attention to detail and planning when it came to the song's arrangement and how it would sound aesthetically, in the end.
In terms of the song displaying an attraction between two people and what someone will do for the other when the fit is right, it is damn near perfect.
It's all done with a blend of edginess and color. The rapping sections are double-tracked a lot of the time, giving them a certain kind of thickness, but it's done super tightly so the song's production sounds very crisp and full-bodied at the same time.
Some of the vocals on the track, including the hook and backing vocals have a reverb effect layered on them, once again giving some more depth to the song, and I think this is where you get that sort of spacious undertone that it gives off.
It almost has a cinematic feel to it at times but is completely radio-friendly from start to finish.
The song homes in on finding that right person, even when you don't expect it, and really having an awesome time with them. The lyrics are descriptive, and once again, quite storytelling, which pulls you into the song even further, and you can hear there's a great level of authenticity behind it.
This is something where the artist pulled from life experience. It has a little bit of a deeper meaning than just a great single that feels good to listen to. This song came from something a bit more personal, and you can hear that in the lyrics.
Everyone crushes this track. The energy and dynamic balance of the entire thing is extremely well done. There's a lot going on and plenty to chew on, especially in terms of the instrumentation and vocals, but they still manage to give this level of space between certain sections of the song.
Nothing feels forced, but instead has this natural forward-moving sort of flow.
Having said that, it does have this amazing energy that's captured. It's the kind of thing that makes you want to go see it all performed live, right in your face. If they can capture such a unique energy on record so well, then seeing them live must be outstanding.
You don't always get this particular kind of energy on a record, so when it comes along, it's pretty refreshing.
The blend of color and edginess is something that grabs you, and, as I mentioned earlier, it has this cultural flair to it, and that is also something that lets it stand out. It almost blends and bends genres, but does so seamlessly.
The track is called "Reina De NYC", and not only does it capture certain perspectives of a great love song and finding that person, touching on the excitement and the allure of it all, but it also captures what feels like a certain time and place.
The whole thing plays out almost like a memory, which is completely connective.
I think a lot of people will really understand exactly where Cash Corleone is coming from with this track and will absolutely feel the energetic drive that it gives.
This is a catchy single with all kinds of great songwriting, and a silky smooth overtone that just feels almost inviting.
But, it's got heart as well. That's the thing that you might end up getting attached to the most.

Where did this song come from and what is it about?
The song is inspired by Dominican culture and musical vibes in New York City. The song is about meeting the female on a night out in NYC and her becoming my Queen/Wife.
Did you produce this yourself?
No. The song was produced and co written by MGB Music.
Did you record this at a bigger studio, or a home DAW setup?
All of my music is recorded at Explode Studio in Brooklyn, NY. Me and my engineer G have been working together since for almost 20 years now.
Are you touring or performing live right now?
We are currently working on setting on up some show dates and a possible mini tour.
Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
Biggie & Jay Z
What would you say people can expect from this release?
They can expect good party vibes, something they can dance, just sounding music in general
Is there anything you are working on as of now?
