Brandon Bing returns with a new single that blends Country and rock perfectly with a high-energy approach, and all without losing that pop sensibility that Brandon is known to bring to the table.
This new track definitely showcases more of his rock tonality. Brandon is a country rock artist, but this one means more towards the rock side of things than some previous releases.
Again, the artist is able to seamlessly blend those two together and make something that's impactful and catchy, but this track really hits hard.
It's got a great riff, heavy-handed guitar tone, and a boisterous chorus that bounces around in your head long after the song has ended.
The track is called "Tell Me Why", and it feels like it's about someone in a relationship who is dealing with the other person being a bit too much to deal with.
This is from the perspective of a person who's with another who burns too many bridges, and finally, in the end, this bridge was burned as well.
The song seems to be about heartbreak, so it has a bit of a vulnerable undertone, but it is also coming from a more aggressive space, rather than a sad one.
It's almost like he's saying, "Well, you'll get what you deserve in the end anyway."
So, there's a fire there. It's a fiery track that is slightly closed-fisted and definitely a bit edgy.
It's amazing to me how he was able to spend something like that into a track that is memorable and catchy. Again, that pop overtone is definitely strong, and you can still hear plenty of the Southern sound in there.
He's got a certain vocal approach that almost keeps things country. He's got that slightly classic country voice. It's in the way that he performs.
The song is a bit anthemic, which is something I really liked. It's also relatable. I feel like we all know that person or have been hurt by somebody that probably wasn't worth it to begin with in the first place.
Whether the track is fictional or not, it makes perfect sense.
The drums are absolutely slamming on this track. It gives the song massive amounts of drive, and the guitars give it that sonic frequency that really adds the edginess in the overtone of everything.
Brandon's vocal approach is really in your face for this one. He's always able to fall into character depending on what kind of song he's doing.
This one was very driving, so he's belting out. He's got a great harmony during the choruses, and he brings that chorus and hook back enough times that you just can't forget it.
Does a great little bridge section after an amazing guitar solo, that comes in and you can hear layers of acoustic guitar over the electric, and I love how he brings in a different texture to that section of the track right before that final, full swing chorus.
Brandon Bing is always surprising me with his tracks. He's able to pull off cinematic aesthetics, classic country bangers, hard rock singles, and more.
He's got some amazing ballads out there, and I would suggest checking a lot of this stuff out.
This is a completely unstoppable artist. He drops singles and EPS often, and they're always of this amazing quality. Not just in production, but in songwriting and performance as well.
Definitely dig into this one like it, which I'm sure you will, then I would suggest checking out some of his previous stuff, including the Haunted House EP dropped late last year.
Brandon is always releasing music that gives you a lot to chew on, and listening to his previous releases also shows you how he's able to branch out into different subgenres while still keeping those country roots intact.
Check this new track out right now and you'll get an idea for exactly where I'm coming from.
