Average Joey is a traveling folk musician, street savvy songwriter, radical poet, and zinester. He has toured the world with his previous band, Cousin Boneless, and under his solo act, Average Joey. His recent releases have been featured on Spotify playlists along with legendary acts like Dolly Parton, Molly Tuttle, and Old Crow Medicine Show. His songs bounce around stylistically between cheeky country tunes, lyrical punky banjo songs, and explicitly anti-capitalist folky storytelling. Joey’s poetry ranges from the vulnerable personal narrative to politically poignant critiques of unjust systems of power.
