A single release from Le Mystique delivers a very addictive blending of genres and in doing so creates this sort of atmosphere that swims around in the air that surrounds you and wraps itself around you to keep you right where you are, and it works like a charm because the song feels like an escape.
"Blue Moon Rising" has a sort of fantastical undertone to it and is built with delayed guitars, chiming keys, and an electronic beat that come together with flowing and almost mysterious vocals that complement the textures of the music incredibly well.
This track has a bit of a cinematic feel to it and I really adore that because as I mentioned earlier, it creates a little bit of an escape and can really pull you away from your surroundings and put you in this mystical place for a little chunk of time and that to me is not only connected but it's like a gift in music.
The guitar tones are subtle but have a hint of edginess and because they have this sort of delay on them it adds a vastness to the song so that it feels pretty expansive, and this is also what lends to that cinematic backbone as well.
You get these fluttering keys that come in towards the middle and end of the song that had a different layer to the atmosphere and those notes sort of float around in the songs ether and add some depth to everything.
It is very easy to get involved and then eventually washed away with this track and by the time it's over you sort of have to snap yourself back into reality again.
Now, having said all that, the song does also have a little bit of a pop coating to it where you do have these hook and chorus melodies that are performed vocally and sticking your head for hours or sometimes even days after the song has ended and the only way to satiate that is to go back and listen to the song again.
Some great vocal harmonies and performances throughout the song really make it alive and breathing because there are times when the second harmony comes in in pieces and the main vocals bend their notes.
This track definitely has a bit of dreaminess to it because you end up sort of just floating alongside it and it feels good to do that.
You can also hear certain kinds of classic rock influences and its underbelly peeking through here and there and that's from both the guitars and the vocals which is something that I adore because this song blends and bends genres that free will and is created and built with fewer boundaries than the norm.
This was a unique and flowing kind of track that has a way of sort of haunting you. I mean this in the best way possible. It just is something that you think about throughout your day after you listen to it.
This was well done and did an amazing job of showcasing a certain kind of presence and energy that can feel almost ethereal.
Listen to this track with headphones on because it's one of the best ways to soak everything in and get embedded in this world.
See how this one affects you.
