A Lush New Single from Corbin Dooley

A fresh new single release from Corbin Dooley has a unique way of delivering a vast soundscape that blends elements of electronica and rock to create something that has a bit of its own atmosphere and a ton of character which is something that you end up latching on to pretty quickly in the song.

"Feels Like" has a very sonically lush and sort of driving approach although it does have a smoothness in its underbelly as well, this song does have this electric energy, and the combination of textures and tones between the guitars and the synths along with those vocals really give you a wide array of layers and this is what gives the song that lushness and full body to feel.

This is quite a brilliant combination of color and edginess that come together, and it is a sort of pop-rock song, but again, the digital instrumentation aspect gives a whole different vibe until you get this cool little bridge section where those synths come to the forefront, and you can get a grasp on the more electronic side of the track. But the point is, the way that those two elements come together, the natural and the digital instrumentation, is very well done and almost seamless really.

The track is absolutely oozing with character and personality, and I think that that is something that is lacking in a lot of today's more colorful pop-rock songs. That's why this track was very attractive to begin with. It has fewer boundaries than what you may be used to and that's something that's appealing to me because I get pretty bored of cookie-cutter songs and Corbin definitely does not write those.

You can tell that he's having a ball doing this and that energy that's delivered on the song is completely unstoppable and it's infectious because it's such a sort of positive tonality.

I love that vast and cinematic backbone that the whole track sort of sits upon which lets everything feel atmospheric and expansive in its own way.

This was a very cool song that had character, charisma, and an amazing electric energy, and something that I have to touch on that a lot of people usually wouldn't. The mix of this single.

The reason why is because with the track that combines that sort of pop an alternative rock undertone and blends in that electronic feel along with melodic vocals and has such a robust sort of atmosphere, is not easy to pull off properly in terms of mixing.

This mix is so dynamically balanced that you can literally hear every note from every instrument and every vocal all at once and that is the challenge when it comes to attract like this because with a mixer, the aesthetic would not be the way it is here.

So, hats off to whoever did the mix for this track probably someone over at Bikiniwax Records from which the single was released.

Or perhaps it was corporate himself that did the mastering. We're not sure but either way, this came out with the right feel, and the right balance to really come through the way it was meant to.

A vivacious and lively single from Corbin Dooley it's just right and if you're into music that will make you dance, and possibly sing along, has a bit of edginess, and the ability to bend genres at free will, then this track is 100% for you.

Take a deep dive into this one and don't be afraid to turn it up.
