A Huge LP from Producer Terrence Esquire Huggins

A full-length album release from producer and songwriter Terrence Esquire Huggins delivers an absolutely lush and full-bodied, impactful, and at times vast soundscape that blends elements of pop, synth, and R&B all together to give a very well-rounded and edgy feel all put together with an amazing attention to detail but also with soul.

The Euphoria album is riddled with character, personality, charisma, and experimental but almost futuristic textures as he blends expansive synth pads and a lot of these songs which really adds a huge atmosphere to them and an almost dreamy undertone while the forefront gives the soul and edginess to the songs with vocals delivered with passion and so, and these songs all have massively deep grooves.

This is one of those records that you can get engulfed in very quickly and it serves as an amazing escape because it has a way of sort of pulling you away from your surroundings and putting you in a different world all together for a chunk of time and this to me, is a gift in music.

A lot of these songs feature different vocalists that most likely all jumped at the opportunity to work with Terrence on this record and it's a good thing too because the singers that he chose to work with and that chose to work with him, all give their own unique sort of feels to the songs and all are able to blend into the character of what the production is with each individual track.

This album is so spacious and almost cinematic in certain aspects. The beats are fresh but also at times blend in almost 90s vibe into the mix which I really like because that's just Terrence letting certain influences from growing up come into play and the combination of old and new school approaches really works extremely well with this record.

There are a few surprises around the corners, there are synths and keys that bring in almost 80s pop feel to certain tracks at times, there are several different ways that the record brings color and edginess together in one song and this whole thing has a way of swimming around in the air that surrounds you.

The songs were composed and arranged with a lot of love which is something that actually comes through in the music itself and you can tell that this is where Terrence is in his zone. When he's in the studio creating tracks with no boundaries around them. experimenting, testing sounds, building productions from scratch.

It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder if he had ideas for what the vocals would be like ahead of time or if he created these songs and just gave them to an artist to do their thing with.

If I Were a singer, which I'm certainly not, I would love to be handed the opportunity to work with Terrence on the songs because most of them are welcoming, a bit cutting edge, a bit above and beyond, but also familiar and almost nostalgic in certain ways.

Now, Terrence Esquire Huggins is actually a Grammy nominated producer and has been known for being an outstanding composer and I think that that is because he blends textures so well and builds songs that have fewer walls built around them then the norm.

Upon listening to this album, I took a little bit of a deep dive into his catalog and found an unbelievable number of releases including a 24-track album called Groove Theory that was unreal. Since then, he's really several other full-length albums and believe me none of them are really short and since the Euphoria release, he's also released a few singles that are unreal and combined such an outstanding array of talent with them that you can't look away.

I would suggest listening to this record first and then checking out some of Terrence's back catalog on Spotify because there is a ton to listen to and none of it will let you down.

Take a deep dive into this record when you get a chance and see how it affects you.
