A fresh new single from DRMAGDN delivers a vivacious and colorful EDM and electronic banger complete with a classic ice cream truck theme reinvented and it all comes through with this massive sort of character to it that you end up really getting attached to right from the start.
"Icecream!" wastes absolutely no time getting straight to the point as the track combines that colorful energy with an engine as well but all comes through with this bright positivity and serves as an anthem for the summer.
Not only does this track feature some outstanding percussion all throughout it, but its theme is so memorable that it ends up just sticking with you for hours after the song has ended and the only way to satiate that is to go back and listen to it again.
What really grabs at you is the energy level of this track because it's through the roof, but it's still done in a catchy and pop coated approach so that you end up really wanting to get off your butt and dance around the room to it.
The whole thing is completely infectious and features somehow standing synth work and drumming along with a near-perfect arrangement and this amazing sonic drive that has a way of building even bigger the longer you listen.

The drumming and percussion hit hard and at times there are these crazy sections with a lot of percussion at once but it's like listening to an amazing drum fill in the middle of a rock song.
The production here is killer and the longer you listen to it the more of it you want so, the track ends up being pretty addictive.
This single has an outrageous blend of electronic genres all rolled into one track and comes through like a sucker punch to the gut in the best way possible.
When it's over, you have to sort of snap yourself back into reality again because this track has pulled you away from your surroundings for that little chunk of time and put you someplace else altogether.
DRMAGDN is a bit of an iconic drummer and DJ as well and is always taking steps in new and different directions musically.
A song like this makes you wonder how was even inspired in the first place.
“I was walking in the park & heard the iconic ice cream truck theme which brought back some amazing childhood memories. I remember running from my pool down the block to flag down the icecream truck as a kid on those hot summer days plus how fun & carefree life was back then. But hearing that theme with new ears, it is actually quite a jam. I haven’t found another DJ that’s reinvented it yet, so I jumped onto Ableton to write / record the ultimate EDM homage to ICECREAM!”
So now we know. Sometimes it takes something like an ice cream truck theme to trigger something in an artist's head.
Obviously, the track was something nostalgic for the artist and I love the sheer fact that he was able to take something like that and give it new life.
