With the release of the "Get Up Again" single, Thea Lissi shows some serious soul and passion as per Lissi's staple sound and breathes with smooth guitars and haunting backing vocals that sneak in and out and float through the song's ether.

"I wrote "Get Up Again" about overcoming life's challenges and pressing on! The topic was actually inspired by a TikTok live I did one day in which I asked my followers what topics they would like me to write about. One of them asked if I could write a song about going through hard times and so the next day, I got to work on it and finished writing the song in 1 hour. I then sent the demo to my record label, and he loved it so much that I flew out that weekend to record it. Personally, I love making songs with a bluesy R&B vibe so I am really pumped about this song. ." explains the artist of her single.

Although "Get Up Again" speaks volumes for Lissi, to get a real understanding of where she is coming from, her previous releases from this year are a must-hear.

"I feel like 'Get Up Again', like 'Good Without Ya' is a part of the emotional journey that I have displayed through my other singles. 'Ready Now' was about trying to date again but not being sure if you’re ready. 'You Ain’t It' was about starting to date, and quickly realizing 'Oh Lord', 'You ain’t it'. 'LOL' and 'Imposter' was about finding the person you think "is it" but they turn out to be an imposter. Which leads to 'Good Without Ya' which reminds you that you are good without anyone else and God will bring the right one when it’s the right time. "says Lissi of her personal musical journey.

Thea Lissi began her creative process when she was just a child writing poetry and music but never really considered herself a singer due to growing up in a household with sisters that all had amazing voices(6 sisters to be exact). Feeling like she didn't quite measure up, she stuck to her writing, and having dealt with abuse, poverty, and more, Lissi had a lot to write about.

After a daughter, marriage, and a divorce, Lissi found herself wanting to get back to the things that she loved. So, music and writing came flooding back to her again.

In December 2020, Lissi traveled to Los Angeles to dance in a music video for her friend Meco and while they were together, she ended up getting some studio time and going in to record her first single "Ready Now". Lissi fell in love with the entire process and kept going.

She soon found herself healing as she recorded three more songs and now, signed with Payn Kyller Records.

The single serves as a testament to where she is at in her healing journey and Lissi is passionate about using her music to help others and continue 'Making Music That Moves You'.

The single will be available April 22nd on all streaming platforms and Lissi is always working on new material for upcoming releases.
