With the release of "Sissy Faggot Half-Man Poof!" Van Hechter and Chauncey Dandridge take a new approach to disco-pop and create something all their own. Laced with character, an edgy but colorful tone, and a massive hook, the single boasts the aesthetic of pop anthems.

The track also comes with an important message of overcoming the odds and fighting to live your life the way you see fit.

"Well- needless to say: it's about bullying. But it's a message of hope. I mean: I was spat on, kicked in the ribs, ridiculed, being threatened daily through my childhood and teens. Teachers in school told me it was up to ME to be normal! Look at me now... I'm the man I always wanted to be, living on my own terms, inventing my own rules.  Chauncey's journey is similar- and he rose. He's an artist, a DJ at The Stonewall Inn, an activist... He's his own man. We ALL go through this on some level, we're all told directly or indirectly that we aren't worthy... Have you read The End Of Eddie by Édouard Louis ??? Same story, over and over. The question is: now that you've been typecast as an underdog, what will you do with the title?" explains Van Hechter of the single.

Although the singles speak volumes for the artist, to get a full understanding of where Van Hechter is really coming from, the more music you hear, the better.

"Sissy Faggot Half-Man Poof!" is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.

“It seems that we (as a production team-- Eryck Wyseman, Isotop Records, mastering crew) are just getting closer and closer to the sound we've always tried to create: Disco-Nouveau!” says Van Hechter of creating the single with his team.

Van Hechter began his musical journey in his early 20s as he joined a punk band after a very quick stint studying Opera.

After a bit of a hiatus, the artist returned to music but this time, in the form of underground pop, and being very close friends with one of NYC's top DJ and activists, Sir Chauncey Dandridge.

The two decided to write duets together about the LGBTQ'' experience- from bullying to decadent promiscuity.

After 2 of those songs hit #1 on Indie US charts, the duo knew they were onto something incredibly special.

''Sissy Faggot Half-Man Poof' is available on all major streaming outlets starting Dec 1st for AIDS day.
